Club Member list

Ok guys,

Im looking to create a Club Member list. My forum is mainly Club based. The moderators are asking for a database entry thing like this.

A user registeres as normal, they pay and become a Club member. The mods want to fill in a form with their details on, which also changes them to a club member and put all thier details on a seperate list on the database.

I know they can just log in to the the user details and change them manually to a Club Member, but they want it on a list so they can pull out whos whos for the club things.

Also on the list, they want to have things like, Join date (The club, information pack /sent etc.)

If that makes sense

Oops, I have posted in the wrong area too I think!

Thats a good idea ... i think a better thing is to make it called memberlist based on usergroup....

Excellent extension, thank you sir. It even integrates well with my Member ID hack!

Why does it pain you guys that people make mistakes? Why can't you report the post and just kindly remind them it's the wrong forum. It's not like it brought you monetary suffering or bodily harm.

I've done all that for my site. Took a lot of hacking though as we use a payment gateway.

User registers as per normal.
If they want to join the club they have to fill in certain custom fields in their profile (real name, address etc.)
Join script takes them to the payment gateway to process credit card.
Payment gateway passes them back to our site
If payment OK they're moved in the club members secondary group.

Hmmm.. sounds simple like that but it took me a lot work. Had to handle family members attached to the main member at a reduced fee, etc etc.

If you can use one of the default vBulletin payment gateways (PayPal etc.) you should be able to achieve what you want without much modification. You just need to create custom fields for their profile and only allow them access to your "join club" page if they're filled in their details.

I don't mean to be rude, but was it really necessary for there to be 13 replies, mostly with smartarse comments, to a thread that was just in the wrong forum? We'll move it, okay? There's no need to make a support thread into a whingeing and complaining thread about people not posting in the right forum. JUST REPORT AND IGNORE IT - THE MODS WILL SEE THE REPORT AND TAKE CARE OF IT EVENTUALLY. Yes, people post in the wrong forum, but that's what we're for - don't waste your time complaining about it. If I keep seeing this I'm just going to delete all the complaining posts. So please, stop.

Anyway, ^_^ Moving to vB 3.5 questions.

Nice :) I'll try and get something done on my site tonight...
