Can't See Attachments Before Thanking a Post 1.2

About this hack:
This hack is an add on for Post Thank You Hack. This hack will block users from viewing or downloading attachments before they thank the post where they want to view or download the attachments.

Installation information on hack:

but i can see the Attachments from another page

try to do this :

xxxx: add id # of the user .

you will see all users Attachments without posting .. !

It's alot easier for a user to click 'thanks' then go to the user attachments. It's also posable for users to remove their thanks after so trying to block up that hole would be a waise of time almost.

hmmm... besides the 'eval' is there any other command simular?

I used prases and not a template.
I used $this->registry->userinfo['userid'] and not $vbulletin->userinfo[userid] (which i dont think works there).
I used !can_moderate($forumid) and not wht you use for finding a moderator.

I am using both atm, the "cantseeattch before replying" is working ok, but as i said in your other thread Abe1 the standard users can still see the attachment without the thanks being clicked!

Anyway to make this hack show 2 or 3 attachments thumbnails and then say something like "to see the rest of these attachments you will need to post in this thread."?

This hack is really not that sophisticated. I don?t really want to start added these extra features.

Does this add-on apply for admins/mods/and super mods too?

If so then it's not working for me as i can still see the attachments before thanking the post.

It dont apply to admin, well not on mine anyway :)

Make a standard registered user account and check it then!

This hack does not block mods/smos/admin.

It does not block admins. Try looking as a regular user.

Can you make this so that admin can add a particular usergroup to exclude from having to click thank you? I have some paying member that I don't want to do anything to download the attachments.

But still want the none paying members to have to click the thank you button.

When I have some time. I didn't want to make this such a major hack.

because you can avoid many bugs unnecessarily. Am I wrong ? ;)

I would say yes.

If I just eliminate private, then if any other hack comes along that uses attachements i'll have to come out with a new update. Just writing check if showthread or showpost eliminates all future probelms. It's confining the hack to only where I want it to work.
