World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft

This is the WoW style I've created. Most graphics were edited manually to get a seamless look. Graphics taken from Blizzards WoW page and Blizzards WoW fansitekit. Took me a long time to edit graphics and set up the html for it.

Buttons are in german. If you need other language, get the Blizzard WoW fansitekit and use the button.psd supplied, or whatever buttons you like.

The header files are included, named hleft.jpg and hright.jpg in directory templates/wow/layout. I've removed our logo from hleft.jpg. Just edit to your needs or remove the header part completely from the header template.

Instructions:
- Upload templates directory within templates.zip (zipped with WinRAR 3.5.x) to your forum root directory
- Import Style

I hope that works for you and if you use it, please click install :)

Not something I could use for my forum but I just wanted say that is amazing work! Very nice style. Looks like you put a lot of time into it!

exilera 01-12-2006 04:52 AM

I love the skin. I'll definitely use it for my WoW guild site, however I have one quick question. I downloaded the fansite kit as per the instructions, though I can not edit the .pngs for use on an English site because it seems I do not have the appropriate font installed, and I can't seem to find it in the .zip.

Would it be possible for someone to whip up buttons in English?

Thanks!
David

The font blizzard has used is not available for free. But you can look for an appropriate font at www.dafont.com

exilera 01-14-2006 01:37 PM

Hey there! Just wondering if there's any way you could make the top border around forums and blocks look like this skin:

http://northrend.dk/index.php

I noticed the graphics were in the .zip (I'm pretty sure? :). How would I get them to display?

Thanks!

Thaddeus 01-20-2006 12:01 PM

Hey guys,

We're using this style at the website of the European Roleplaying Ream 'Steamwheedle Cartel' here . As you can see, the colors are slightly different. In the attachement of this post you will find the English buttons.

Regards,

Thaddeus

Good day everyone,

I've had two requests in my inbox regarding the alternate color scheme I've used for my website. Attached is the color scheme I've used along with some minor modifications to the theme in order to make it, in my humble opinion, a bit easier on the eyes.

I also want to thank the author of this thread for creating a great style. :) Take care everyone,

Thaddeus

afterglow 01-23-2006 12:18 AM

i would like to say this theme is perfect for any gaming or rpg type of site. pretty awesome! can't use it for my business forum though. in the future, i may use this. highly recommendable.

keep up the good job!

regards,
afterglow

Some of the status icons just point to 'old' and 'new'....places that do not exist on my forum. I checked the StyleVars and everything is right. Any help is appreciated!

mikeylikesitz 01-26-2006 06:49 PM

i am having the same problem with old and new, any word?

halofanatic 01-26-2006 07:14 PM

Very nice style, just what I have been looking for.

Unfortunately I?m experiencing the same thing. Could anybody point me in a starting direction of what to look for so that I might be able to solve it?

Regards

I second this. Great job mate.

Prodimysterio 01-27-2006 02:41 PM

Too bad that this does not work with my vBAdvanced CMPS. Not sure what the deal is...

www.mysite.com/forums looks just fine with everything looking great

www.mysite.com has no images, no formatting at all.

Any ideas?

Try adding a replacement var to the style:

Code:

templates/wow/
replaced by

Code:

/forums/templates/wow/

Seems you have to wait for Thaddeus or is your problem related to my original style file?

Deimos 02-05-2006 10:02 PM

I get the same issue with the "Old" directory for images

MrSDavidson 02-07-2006 11:19 PM

In this file I give you...

old
new
lock

these files in this format will fix the skin error in WOW.
upload these to "yoursite.com/forum" folder

problem solved.

Took me a while but iv done it :D

Sorry everyone, I've been busy these past few weeks. Good job. :) Any more problems, feel free to contact me.

P.S: This is for the alternate style I supplied in this thread, *not* the original theme in the first post. Thanks.

markantonie 02-16-2006 11:57 PM

I didn't see a reply to your question here and you may have found this already on your own, but here's that version of this style with the added touches you were looking for:

TheBlueFalcon 03-06-2006 05:33 PM

First.... I LOVE THIS THEME!!! This is perfect for our site.

But.... there is one small issue.... I need an english button for Thread Closed. Anyone know if one is here and I have just missed it or does one need to be created?

Check out the theme at:

www.tfohq.com

Thanks,
TBF

KuJi 03-11-2006 12:47 PM

Mighty Mojo 03-14-2006 01:18 AM

Anyone else getting odd response on member list when they click on a user?

Private fields are showing up in memberlist (even for those without rights to see them)
The fields are also not showing the proper header (first name isn't first name)

When I revert to the default style, this problem does not occur

I have reinstalled the xml to no avail...

User Name, Posts, Avatar

I have no problems with the userlist on our forums.
