Censorship per Word
 

Hey,

I was wondering if there was a plugin or hack that allowed a different censorship options per word.

Example

If dog is said then it outputs cat.
If Man is said then it outputs women.
If vB is said then it puts lol.

Understand?

Hmm...

There isn't a hack to do this AFAIK, but you can always mess around with replacement variables for this sort of thing.

Tokosan, you can do it in the ACP if I recall correctly (not 100% sure, as I never use it). If not, this hack should do the trick.

there is only an option to make an entire list of words into one word.

so for example if i censored certain swear words to say "cute puppies" then if someone said a four letter word then the members would see "cute puppiescute puppiescute puppiescute puppies"

i want to be able to make "dog" say "cat"

or "horse" say "cow" and etc....

this hack is not what i need, thanks though

could you not try the replacement variable manager in the admin cp?

The replacement variable does not do what the poster was asking. I am also looking for a full word replacement and not a character replacement.
