Flash Quiz(es) Mod
 

This is my promissed FlashQuiz Plugin

Features:

- Different Categories for Quizes
- Tele, Pub and 50/50 Jokers
- Like "wer wird million?r" "Who becomes a millionair"
- Highscore/Questions/Answers/Jokers are saved in the DB and selected randomly
- An Flash Quiz in MacOS meets final Fantasy Look :D
- User can send Questions that the admin hast to activate

Many Admin Funktion like:

- Create Categories/Questions/Highscores Edit and delete them...
- You will see!

Don't forget to hit install :D

p.s. Ont first times you play the Game the Flash version of the Highscores that appears on the end only shows the Highscore if there are some allready in the DB this meens that the first 4-6 Times you play there is "undefined" and then the Highscore appears normally. This is not a Bug!

I have installed this and seems to be working ok apart from...

I have submitted a question as though i am a member, i have
moderated the question and made it active but it does not show
in the catergory?

Acutally, i've just added a question using admin CP and thats not
showing either :(

There is some bugs about it...

I create a category named test

And question is What is my name (i am testing it so its not a hard question ;) )

After that i enter the quiz section, it said loading etc.

And the quiz screen appeared :

And there is no question,only choices, also either i click any of the choices i got an error like sorry you lost.

I don't even get the flash loading, just a white screen. :ermm:

??? The German version is working without bugs and working well.

I maded some Code changes in the English one from the new german release but on my Testingboard it worked as well on different Boards since a week....

I really can't see where is the Problem?

First: Are all the Questions visible?

If not make them in inactive questions visible....

Second: The flash file is working, if you see a white Screen probably you haven't upload it right?

Third: Is there an Question in the Categorie and with Difficulty=0 ?

4th: open /fragen.php?kategorie=0&gclass=1 do you see an Question?

5th. open /flashquizu.php?game=true&class=1

Then you schould see an question....

I have changed the difficulty to 0 and now the questions show!!

What is the difficulty for then?
Is it not used?

The game has 25 Questions

0 is the first and 24 the least one ;)

And how I said it works :)

I got the flash working now, i had uploaded it in ascii instead of binary. :o

I usually hit install when things are 100% sorted as i dont like to do uninstall for the coder as this can look bad :disappointed:

I also did notice that despite the error the questions had been added, then for the second error, the question had been deleted.

Sorted it, much the same as the first problem, replace the last line of code in admincp/fragendel.php with

That resolves the issue.

Next question : how do I change all the German text to english - the VBB stuff isn't too hard, mostly phrased, but how would I go about altering the text within the flash file? Also could you give me some indication as to what each german spelling means in english please (I never studied german at school), other than that, wonderful addition, thank you very much!

Sorry I meant the text within the flash file, the Grade info (kein, kyu) - I don't know what these mean. The reason I said about the VBB phrases is just me - a personal preference on the backend stuff.

Sorry if I confused you then, wasn't mean that way, just would like to change the text in the flash file around, if it's possible.

One last thing - is there any way to make the font larger within the flash file too?

I feel like I'm being an arse now, it's a cracking addition, thank you so much, I'm being too picky!!

"kein" (none) is the only thing I've forgotten to translate, in the next Version it will be fixed...

kyu/dan is japanese It's the Belt Graduation of Martial Arts. :ninja:

I thought it would be funny to say I've an black belt in this Quiz... Because this mod was originally made for an MArtial Arts Community...

But i'm thinking to make this changebel in the admin CP

The Size.. I will see what i can do there...

P.s. It is possible to decompile the Flash File and make Changes. But It needs adequated skills in Flash and AS to do it...

Thank you sir, I've not added the Quiz on to the menu yet, need to add some questions first! I was just trying to see if I could customise it slightly to fit in with the forum more.

If someone has an wish for the new Version it would be nice to tell it in the next 2 Days...

How can the users know if they have the right answer to the last question? It only says try again? When the quiz is finished the high score doesnt show, it only says undefined.

The user should get a PM with the scores and answers, thats if you followed the instructions and options in admincp

I uploaded all files, imported the product file, added category an questions. I can se no options regarding PM.

No this isn't Infernos Quiz Hack ;) there is no PM...

In the German Forum my Version 1.5 is out... There are some improvements like export/import of quizes as xml and more.

I have to translate it watch out the next days...

I can't set the category inactive. Nothing happens when I push the Zurucksetzen button. I uninstalled, removed everything, and re-installed, but It wan't work.

Zurucksetzen=reset. You have to pick the Speichern=save. The english Version is not uptodate doto I working on it.
