You cant get a simple answer because there is no simple answer. You do not buy a server based on a hack. You need to do a lot of research. I don't even understand how someone can begin to even try to run a website when they make comments like yours.

Well, your question is not as simple as you might think! Choosing the right host is a tough decision to make, and if you're doing business, it can make you or break you!

The best place you get answer(s) to your "simple" question is WebHostingTalk forum. Go there & don't just post a thread like this one you've posted here. Instead, use the search feature on the forum to dig into earlier posts & reviews by members.

To help you out, I'll list some of the well-known hosts, & you only need to type them in there:

A Small Orange (ASO)
Site5
Bluehost
midPhase
Hostgator
Lunarpages
Surpasshosting
LiquidWeb (Try Liquid Web too)
The Planet (Only dedicated servers)
...etc

Might other members add to the list.

thank you guys for your respond..i guess i didn't ask the question right, i going thru hard time with my host server with lots of B.S, but anyway they are telling me that i'm using way to much resource (cpu) and they are monitoring my site now. What's bothering me is i had the site for about 5 month and i have approimately 40 member soon more and for them to tell me that is bull i thought it may be the hacks that i installed so i started to disable few feature that i thought that maybe pulling the resource. So again i receive another email telling the same result so then i knew no sense in fighting with them so i decided to shop around with a host server that can handle my forum and not go dedicated , because it's a free community forum and can't afford a dedicated server..
I will look into those that you guys put up and ask before i sign up...thank you...( by the way my host server is dream host just in case if you guys having the same issue)

I've also heard that rackspace is really good but too expensive... (they don't even have prices at their website, or I didn't find them :nervous: )
Servage is good for loads of space and bandwidth for very little money (that's the one I'm currently on) but sucks sometimes on support, is slow and has downtimes :(

Lea Verou 12-19-2005 11:39 PM

I would love to go to a dedicated server but I don't have the money...

[high]* Lea Verou dwells on the dream of getting a dedicated server in rackspace... Ahhh... :([/high]

http://www.cphosting.com/ - Huge site, and great customer service. Many Many machines.
http://www.valleyhosting.com/ - smaller site, but #1 customer service. Cheap and great powerful machines.

I use www.valleyhosting.com at vBhackers.com, computerproblems.com, banterboards.com, webmastersforum.org and a few others. Hope this helps.

I don't rate ASO anymore after being with them

I had nothing but lots of down times all month with them, ImageMagick 6 wasn't working with vB 3.5.2, and later that same month GD stopped working all week which was the last straw for me - so I fired them off.

I even had problems FTP downloading from them with timeouts on that as well while trying to download my site files. All in all I wasn't impressed at all with them like most seem to be.

Maybe I was just one of the unlucky ones with them as most seem to rate them highly.
