Quick-reputation link
Hi !
here's my first public release for vbulletin 3.5, and maybe my first one for vbulletin at all ;) So, what it does is adding a link to automaticly add positive reputation to the post you are reading, with "Quick reputation" for the comment. It's a very little hack, for sure, but I thought that some people may use it :nervous: edit : Uploaded a screenshot, useless, though, but a screenshot :D edit 2 : uploaded second screenshot, showing what happens when you click the quick-reputation link. Well, that the default "you're vote has been casted". (But in french there, sorry ;) ) |
can we get an example? or screenshot?
|
nvm. dont need one i guess
|
Cool :) thanks
|
I am curious to see what happens when you click the little icon? Does it open the rep comment box?

Referring to ver 3.5.2 'import module page'???? Ok, Imported via PlugIn System PlugIn Manager "Add New PlugIn"" Manual Step2??? Thx |
@Symen_4ab:
I see there four bars (Participation, Activité, Présence and Expérience) in your Screenshot, which Plugin/Extension is this? |
Quote:
'Participation' might be a display of the standard individual 'post per day' with the rest a custom derivative of compliled data averaged from the forum membership in general??? Looks to be something we can do but I would definately need help!! Hell, I can't even manage a simple Template mod . . . I like it too!!! |
I added a screenshot of what happens when you click the link, but well, it's just the default "reputation added" page :)
Quote:
-> Styles & templates -> Find in templates -> find "postbit" in titles only. -> Click personalize on postbit -> Add Code:
<a href="reputation.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]&do=quickreputation">[+]</a> For my exemple, it would be just before : Code:
<if condition="$show['reputationlink']"><a href="reputation.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]" rel="nofollow"> For the four bars in the postbit, I'll have to hack my co-admin, I'm not the one who installed this on our forum.. I'll keep you informed, but it's called "level hack" by him (we keep a track of everything we install..) |
Quote:
I keep track too - if your partner wants to share I'd be interested for sure. Rabbit(subbed) |
No problem, he's not the coder as far as I know, I think he found it somewhere, probably on vbulletin-fr.org (the official french vbulletin forum, if I remember correctly.
Didn't have his answer so far, I'll post here as soon as I know ;) |
Btw, just incase anyone doesn't understand.
The screenshot "qr_clicked.png" roughly says.. Quote:
|
Sorry, where do i get the 4 bars (Participation, Activity, Presence, etc.) ? They look good! They are not part of this hack, right?
|
Quote:
Can somebody please translate this??? The name of my other WHAT?? Quote:
It's A Conspiracy!! How Come WE don't 'ave French?? hehe |
Quote:
Symen, you are CORRECT!!! Too easy(with your help) - now, where's my French Dictionary & WinRar?? Level Hack 'PierreRabbit' Oh, the French have a great snow hack too!!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------- HELP!! Rabbit caught in a 'catch22'!!! Can someone with 'WinRar" unzip my version of WinRar.rar and rezip it back again with WinZip and upload it back so I can indeed unzip it(again, with WinZip) and install it soooo . . . . I can use my WinRar again???? Recently Upgraded to XP Pro, full install, WinZip won't do it(unzip a WinRar file) & and I need it back!!! Make Sense??? |
"Hébergeur" means "Host"
"Le nom de votre hébergeur" means "Your host name" So, theplanet, ev1servers, etc. Yes, thats this hack silly rabbit (you can directly download winrar on winrar.com, much easier, isn't it ?) |
Quote:
Sorry being so stupid - know a little French. My original guess was Licence#, like here. They don't require that?? Got the eval copy of WinRar - actually, I had to 'search' it as it's 'Win-Rar.com'. Didn't find 'eval' download on last attempt!! Original guys gone???? So, about the 'Level Hack'(haven't done your posted hack instructions yet!!) - there's an .xml, some template mods and code mods too??? Attached readme.txt to save ya some trouble . . . . All Appreciated!!! Rabbit (time to 'uninstall' eval version & install my own!!) p.s. I like the French boards snow effect - control is in User CP - very natural and would prolly look nice with BluePearls BP-Brown!! Can Ya track that down si vous pleis??? |
Quote:
Very simple patch to orginal .xml but proud nonetheless. Used 'P' & 'N' rather than '+' & '-' (appears clearer). 'Comment' still avail in 'scales' usual manner. Learned A Bit while evaluating UEStudio'05 & ZendStudio5. Still a tossup 'cause each has its strenghts, Anyone here have a preference and why?? Rabbit 1 Postbit Template patch included and both .xmls(Symen's and mine) but you choose only 1, |

They even included instructions in english for phrases. Then, there are template edits : Quote:

"Remplacer par:" means "replace with" "Voila ces termin?." (should be "voil? c'est termin?") means "it's done" :) For your modification, that's not a bad idea, but I prefer to have people giving a reason for bad reputation adding. Almost all of the time, positive reputation is for saying "hey, that post was interessing" Bad reputation, you don't always know.. It could be "I don't like this guy", for example ;) |
In regards to 'QuickReputation, I'm trying to install a img link (thumbs up & down) in leu of "+" and "-".
I gave it my best 'trial & error' shot but something is not quite 'right'. I did have sense enough to put icon13/14.gif in my images/reputation directory. Please, Can Anybody Tell Me Where Am I Going Wrong??? Thx, Rabbit Quote:
Below Is Org Code (Only I subbed "Y" "N" for "+" "-") Quote:

Quote:
the $stylevar[imgdir_button]/icon14.gif part should point to images/buttons/icon14.gif, but it depends of the style which is used (if you have more than one). If you always want to display the image located in images/rputation folder, juste replace this Code:
src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/icon14.gif" Code:
src="images/reputation/icon14.gif" You should see the path to the image in the properties box of your browser, and debug this easily. |
Quote:
Code:
src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/icon14.gif" Thx for the format . . Rabbit |
I would love to see this create a drop down menu to add a comment in. Surley it can be done similar to the nav bar drop menus.
