Hey guys, any reason why I'm banned? Who's feet have I stepped on now?

I'm not IRC l33t so it might mean something else. Correct me if I'm wrong... But I look pretty banned to me.

Maybe they banned a whole ISP or something? Don't think it's a ban on you personally just yet.

Hmm I suspected as much, but I don't see why? I can get onto the server, just not the channel.

I suppose I have been spending way too much time in there...

It is probably a channel ISP ban, unless you did something bad. :p I'd check but I don't have an IRC client installed on my program right now.

I still am unable to connect to the server so there is no way I can have a look now. As soon as I can get back on it I'll find out what is going on.

Login to the server and send me a message :)

I dropped in the channel today and no one was there... That is if the instructions in the sticky are correct.

Might stop in tomorrow around 10ish Pacific Time to see how people are doing.

The server have been down most of the day yesterday/last night, so that is why nobody was in probably.

Well there was no conversation going on at all, and i didn't speak to him. He just posted that out of the blue. On a good day i might have let him go, on a bad day...... (yes i am also only human). It was not made in some funny conversation or something.

PS I will not go into a discussion if this was correct or not. Case closed for me.

Probably trying to see if you were alive or not. Sometimes I will do that in chat or even in real life. Its actually quite funny to do it to a friend that is giving me the uhuh deal....

If it makes you feel better fleabag, I was banned from chat one day by Brad for the hell of it. I just moved on to aim. :)

Just wondering, is there a VB channel on Qnet that people use to chat? I use 3 servers already with my client, and I dont wanna open up a new server window, for just 1 channel. If not, would those users that also use Qnet, like to Create 1, so that we can have some discussion on there too.

I suggest #vborg on there also

You are ofcourse free to open any chanel on any server you want. But there is only 1 official channel and that is on the devcore network.

yeah, was just cause its not a server I generally use. I sit in too many channels on 3 networks, and if I open anymore server windows, I will need to start scrolling, and I am too lazy for that. It may be if no-one really uses Qnet, I will need to jump on the devcore 1 :)

yeah, I meant asking fellow vb users, not looking for admins. That was my main reason for a channel on qnet, just for people to share expertese

There is no talking about coding/using/supporting vBulletin. Since we can not verify the license status of someone in the chat we can not allow this.

Marco, I think a banning was pretty harsh... And it must have come several hours after I made the comment because I idled until I went to bed that day.

And I think you'll find my comment was directly preceded by something along the lines of...
"Hey Marco, I was talking to stephan today about some stuff, do you mind if i pm you" - after which the conversation had died.

As corrie mentioned, it was supposed to be a 'funny comment'. Obviously not. It isn't as if I was lude or obscene, a little OTT in my opinion, could have easily been settled by PM, where, if finding out you took offence I would have been more than happy to apologise - believe me it was not intended to be derogatory.

And I've always found the dutch to be easy going! Blimey...

fleabag i got that you must've been joking from the comment too, but seriously if i was an op, even as a third party their'd be a 95% chance i'd ban you too, good or bad day.
