first one!! w00t |
Hmmm works alright, however, when you hoover over the button alt text brings up 'send private message to' and that is all. Should it show the members name?
Also, when clicked, should it autofill the members name in the recipient box? |
ok, I might have buggered up slightly. Give me two ticks and I'll check it over again.
|
no problem my friend...did not mean to sound like I was complaining ;)

I'm updating the file now. There are two little errors (well the same one twice actually). In the added code find $userinfo and replace with $post It'll work then. |
Just a thought, but could something be added so that the specific member does not see the option to PM themselves?
|
wow now thats very handy thankyou clicks *install*

Thank you.

Yes but this adds a button as in the screen shot to make it a lot easier. A lot of users don't use the drop-down postbit menu
|
OK thanks :) Our forum has tons of FAQs/tutorials on how to properly use the software, so this hack would only encourage our members to be lazy and not learn how to use vB software, but hopefully others here will get some use out of it. Enjoy :)

Thank you... :rolleyes:

Can you make it to automatically quote text posted by user.
I would like to see something like "Reply via PM". |
Possibly. I'll need to explore that further though. Leave it with me and I'll see if I can come up with anything.
|
Installed, thanks.
|
Thanks
|
worked fine, thanks!
|
Nice update!

This is a great little mod. Thanks :) *installs*

Umm, ok I have absolutley no idea what I've done wrong but nothing is showing up :nervous: I thought it would be simple and easy to do but it seems I've even managed to mess this up :p
|
can you attach your postbit (or postbit_legacy) template in code tags and I'll take a look at it and see if I can find the problem.
|
Attached is my post_bit template
Code:
<!-- post #$post[postid] --> |
Quote:
Try this instead Code:
<!-- post #$post[postid] --> |
OK, I did that but still no change? :confused:
|
strange, and you are using the vB3 style postbit, not the legacy one.
|
Yes, well as far as I know because my other mods such as gender image in postbit etc run from the post_bit template. I tried to edit the post_bit legacy template but the code to find wasn't there. Niether was the code that you posted only on this thread. I am completely stumped?
|
Does not work for me either..
postbit_legacy Code:
<!-- post #$post[postid] --> |
peterska2, just wanted to let you know that this works with 3.5.2, incase you wanted to change the version at the top of the thread :)
