Put Adsense Banners in Your Archive
UPDATE: THIS PRODUCT NOW ONLY WORKS WITH VERSIONS 3.5.4 AND 3.6 AND UP. I WILL NOT RE-RELEASE THE OLDER VERSION.
This product is a simple one that will get you started in adding Google adsense banners to the top and bottom of your archive pages: Demo here: http://www.eaforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/ To install: Import the product. Change the two plugins to use the adsense code for your site (instead of mine - unless you are feeling generous) and to arrange its positioning as desired. To upgrade: Uninstall the old product. Install the new one. Amy |
Nice one, clicked install ;)

Thanks Amykhar, easy to install and works perfect :)

Can this be changed so instead of Adsense there can be HTML/PHP code?
|
really great addon :)
|
Will this work on 3.0.7?
|
this is a plugin, so i guess it won't work on 3.0.x
but i edited index.php in the archive dir manually to include the google ads i wasn't too difficult ;) |
Thanks a lot.

Thanks, how do I view a thread as an archive to test this out if I just opened my forum a month ago?
|
Any chance someone could help me put this on two of my forums? I am not sure how to!
Cheers |
It doesn't show anything on mine. Any suggestions?
|
Nice and simple :)

I used my yahoo ads but.. whatever :) *installed*

Ads are ads :) I used adsense because more people seem to search for that term.

Anyone else get a vBulletin Message
XML Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity at Line 1 with vb 3.5.1? |
Glow, you probably messed up when you made your edits to use your own ad code. Reinstall it and try it without edits first. If it works then, CAREFULLY edit the code to use your ad banners.
|
First of all, I love this plugin. Thank you for making it.

Thanks again! |
It's HTML tables. Here's the product with tables. It also has Search included.
|
Nice one, works this time, my text editor was adding some dashes on the first few lines of the XML for some reason.
Thanks again ;) |
Another great job Amy -
Ive listed the hack at vBulletin Webmaster - This is a good hack as it makes monitizing the forum archive easy to do. As a note, your not limited to only adsense ads folks. You can use this hacvk to place anything in the header or footer of your archive. For example, your website banner or other banner ads. However, I dont recommend adding a whole bunch of graphics. The idea is to have a lean, mean copy of your forum for Google, Yahoo and other search engines to crawl easily. |
Excellent job, Amy... I've been running adsense in my archives for over a year and a half now but I like how you have them laid out.
Thanks! |
First plugin I ever installed by myself!
amykhar = brilliant! *clicked install |
Great mod - thank you!
Just one oddity.. while I get the adsense banner at the top, I don't get one at the bottom (just a blank space the size of what the banner would take). Very strange behaviour. *clicks installed* |
It does that if it doesn't have any additional relavent ads to display.
|
very nice product!
