Seems a nice way to mark notable annoucements and/or threads to be shown on FORUMHOME.
Good job ! :D Any demo page for this ? Would like to see if the scrolling bit is smooth , thanks :D |
To be clear this is for the forums themselves right? I dont want it on my forum home (read cluttered by me already ;-) )
Also, is there a way to slap a box around this like the rest of the style? Thanks and nice hack! -Jason |
I have a news forum and want news articles to scroll on all forums. Is this what I'm looking for?

Flypaper:
We do have a scrolling news banner on our site, not php. It's a java script that displays local news stories on all forum pages though as part of the header. I wrote a short program to pull the news stories from our sites XML feed and drop them onto our news ticker automatically. See www.drsol.info/forums I'd also like to see a sample of this somewhere. I can't test it because I don't want two scrolls running, but we have been looking for an easy way of adding post content (not just thread titles) to a ticker or xml feed automatically.
