It's the eennnd of the spaaaam as we know it. And I feeeel fiiiiine...

For the last eight days I've been testing a super anti-spam plugin that's so far been 100% effective, stopping over 2100 spam registrations while allowing zero to get registered, and interfering with exactly zero legitimate humans. In fact the human can't tell it's even there.

And it's been working all on its own, stand alone. ALL other spam protection native and not, off. NO help at all.

Can't tell you what it is or how it works though. But I can tell you it is impossible for this plugin to block a legitimate human, and impossible for the botnet administrators and spam program coders to defeat. Ever. It cannot be defeated.

And it's not just on my site either, it's been running even longer, stand alone, on another site too. And been 100 percent effective there as well, catching another 1,775 spam registration attempts.

It also 100% guaranteed, stops the occasional human spammer too. And without them even knowing it.

In the coming weeks this plugin will be available here at vBorg. Prepare to be completely mind blown by its effectiveness and be stunned by its simplicity. It really is one of those "why didn't I think of that" type things. It is genius in its execution, and deadly in its effectiveness.

I believe it is the first true advancement in vBulletin spam protection in the last decade. It makes obsolete every spam protection currently available - including the timers, puzzles, captchas, Q&As, everything. None of it is needed at all, with this plugin installed. You can even turn off all native vB protection.

It's a truly exciting and innovative development.

Stay tuned - just thought I'd share.

Hell's coming....

Just a guess, is it JavaScript based? Since most bots don't have a JavaScript engine it will be hard for bots to do calculations.

ozzy47 02-03-2015 09:49 AM

Nope, no javascript.

Wow that is a LOT of guarantees. I am very intrigued.

Oh and I forgot to mention - I am taking applications for Beta Testers. No timeline yet on when the testing starts, but PM me a link to your site and a list of all the anti-spam stuff you use, for consideration.

Also forgot to mention - there have been no conflicts with other mods found as yet. And in fact the way this plugin is designed, conflicts seem highly unlikely. So you can run all your other anti-spam stuff along with this new one, and have no problems. I've done that in my testing as well.

No but.... In order to have any hope of defeating this, (There actually isn't any) they would have to soooo radically change their approach it would amount to almost forgetting totally about automation.

When you see what it is you will just slap your forehead in realization of how all those guarantees can be made. It's that bloody obvious.

This has been well over a year in the making, I have been testing parts of it for about that long. Now it's all being brought together, collaboration style. The Main coder and the guy doing all the work, toting most of the water is indeed Mr. Prolific and really is THE man to produce this product. Remember the adage, "Success has many fathers."
