vBulletin Marketplace Mod - by Panjo

1 Attachment(s)
As of September 2015, the Panjo marketplace mod for vBulletin has been completely rearchitected.

You can learn more about the latest version of the mod on Panjo's vBulletin partner page.

This mod enables you to launch a peer-to-peer community marketplace that is integrated into your vBulletin forum.

Here is how it works:
1) Install the plugin.
2) Customize the categories you want in your marketplace.
3) Contact Chad at Panjo: chad@panjo.com to activate your marketplace.
4) When a seller goes to a new or old subforum dedicated to buying/selling/trading, and clicks on the "post new thread" button, the mod will load a listing creation form.
5) The seller will create a listing. The listing will appear in the marketplace. A synchronized copy of the listing will appear in the appropriate buy/sell/trade subforum.

Is this plugin free?
Yes, this plugin is free.

Can you make money with this plugin?
Yes, you can optionally use this plugin to generate marketplace transaction revenue.

How is it with mobile?
The marketplace loads with layouts that are optimized for high res desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Examples:
Porsche Marketplace <syncs with> Porsche classifieds subforum
BMW Marketplace <syncs with> BMW classifieds subforums
Audi Marketplace <syncs with> Audi classifieds subforums
Belly dancing marketplace <syncs with> Belly dancing classifieds subforums

Possible way the inauguration.?
There are 3 files!

Seems like a cool mod.

But I would also like to now what the 3 XML files are for.
There is no explanation about those.

Black Tiger - Thanks for the question. Good question. There is more information about the three files in the Enthusify vBulletin classifieds installation instructions.

In summary...
1. The main file is Enthusify's Product XML file used to add the templates, settings and options used by the marketplace plug-in
2. One file is another product XML file that the marketplace plug-in depends upon in order to add the navigation to the main forum navigation menu. This file is required for vB 4.1.x and earlier as vB 4.2 has Navigation Manager.
3. The last file is used for backwards compatibility with vBulletin v3.x.x and is not necessary for vBulleting v4.x.x installations (as outlined in the installation instructions)

Ik heb vBulletein 3.8.7 so then I have to use all the files.
Sorry for the question. I'd seen the instructions, but thought it was a kind of movie and had not seen that there were more pages you can choose from.

However, I'm doubting if I'm really going to install it now I read this:

FYI...

Quote:

We Retain a 10% Performance Fee -

Each time you sell an item to a buyer, Enthusify retains a 10% performance fee. Enthusify retains 10% of the sum of the listing price and the shipping price.

Black Tiger 07-07-2012 06:47 PM

Oke sorry, then this is nothing for my forums.
I only have a forum for mainly Dutch and Belgian users and our "for sale" part of the forum is just for local users who needs to sell their satellite receiver or some other small stuff.

In that case we keep it at our current sale forums with prefixes.

Thank you for the information.

The raw listing data and the photos associated with the listings are stored in Enthusify's hosting environment. Enthusify is a payment card industry data security standard (PCI-DSS) compliant system. The system meets all the strict security requirements required to process credit card transactions. Enthusify hosts with Amazon Web Services.
