Strange file on server

Can anyone shed some light on this. i found this file on my server and wondered if anyone could tell me if they recognised it...
i deleted it and it came back ... not being an expert ..any help would be great..thanks

I've seen stuff like that. I think it's some odd glitch that happens sometimes when you save a file after editing. I think you can just delete it.

Where was this file located to? What part of your web dir.

It was on the root .. came back 3 times after being deleted ..just to be sure i changed server passwords and replaced config, forum, content and index files ....also got the too many connections error yesterday and the database locked up ... hasnt come back yet...fingers crossed

the file has this in it 13187564430

Kind of looks like something's using that directory for a temp file instead of the system temp directory (but I have no idea how you'd figure out which program was doing it).

You can try to lock your root dir and see how programs react to it. Care to post your top -c command?

i got this last night and the file came back...
