Licensed member not allowed to use vb.org?

After reading the Site Feedback principles, there is nowhere stated when a licensed member loses his rights to have full access to vb.org forums.
I would like to know what are your elimination criterias. Examples are important in this discussion.

Thanks.

In general you will loose your licensed status when you do not have a valid license anymore.

TECK 09-03-2007 08:06 AM

What if you are still licensed? Under what conditions the vBulletin.org staff will revoke your rights to have full access to the site?

Thanks.

Marco van Herwaarden 09-03-2007 08:15 AM

Blocking someones licensed access to vbulletin.org can be seen as an alternative to banning. It is only used in exceptional cases.

I can not discuss individual cases.

nexialys 09-03-2007 08:55 AM

being licensed or having access to this site is not a right, but a privilege... if you break the rule, you loose access... that's all...
(and some guys broke the rules more than once, so they loose that privilege, and this is not a public topic.)

That is fine Marco, I'm not interested on individual cases, we engaged this discussion with general terms.

nexialys, please let me know where you saw your affirmation written?
From my understanding, when I purchase a vBulletin license, I'm entitled to gain full access to this site.

vBulletin staff, is this true? You give me the "privilege" to read threads and access hacks on this site?

Marco van Herwaarden 09-03-2007 10:43 AM

Nexialys is correct on this.

The license you purchase does not include the right (as oposed to privilege) to access any of our forums, this includes vb.com and vb.org forums.

The license give you the right to use vBulletin and to have access to the Support Ticket system, that is all.

Thanks for the info, Marco.

When i paid my first license, it was not written anywhere that i had the legal access to any forum... THIS is a statement... it was not written anywhere that i had access to this or that forum or website... just access to the software download for the period i paid for...

access to vB.org was given as a privilege because i paid for the license; as a bonus... that's the same as my user level... i'm not considered a coder anymore, but i continue to have access to the coder's forum until i say too much stupidities.. this is a privilege i can see revoqued...

and i hope this will continue that way... ;)

deezelpope 09-03-2007 11:23 AM

Indeed, it's understood that access here is a privilege, not a right, just like any place. Be respectable, and don't act like an ass, then wonder why your privileges were revoked...that's just foolishness.:D
