vBulletin video addon with video hosting ?

Does anyone know a good way of having a full video vBulletin section ? Is there any paid hack or something ? Please reply.

i am interested in something like this as well. basically how there is photopost / photo gallery addons for vbulletin, to have some type of system where users can upload their own video using a flash ecoded player like youtube, revver, etc.

anything like this out there?

i have a forum community of almost 17,000 members that would DIE to have such an option :)

2 *worthwhile* solutions that I know of:

FlickScript: http://www.buildrevenues.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2

Clip Share: http://www.clip-share.com/

Clip-share has some very specific server requirements. You'll pretty much need a dedicated server or be in pretty tight with your hosting provider.

FlickScript gets around this by implementing a paid token system to encode uploaded files. It currently can't be installed into a sub-directory w/o some major modification.

Neither currently are integrated with vB but I'm sure with some effort (and $$) it could be accomplished.

Cheers,

thanks for the links. i've read up on clipshare before. great solution. but i was hoping there was something done that integrates the vB memberbase and info like photopost, etc.

the clip-share is really sux .. first of all, i bought the script.. the fk they do is .. put their ads on your screen to advertise their shit software .. which i normally charge my customer $400/month for such advertisement.. they get for free and i have to pay to do that? wtf .. second, they don't answer email.. maybe one man band .. third..their link don't work.. and when you email support, they don't give a shit.. maybe that's why they selling the installation service .. so whoever buying it .. beware ...

http://www.clip-share.com/ is actually a clone of the available youtube clone, that everyone can get on the internet, so spending 100 $ is crazy, when you can get the identical script for FREE. clip-share doesn`t have a registered trademark on it, and I installed a youtube clone, compared it with the available demo on their site, and guess what : IT`S IDENTICAL( everything except the css file which they changed a bit). I`ll be making a paid mod soon, to bridge vb and another product, so users will be able to host videos :D

The bridge is being built, I want to refresh the graphics of the mod, and I`ll post here when it`s released. :)

It might be expensive, but they don't require you to keep the "advertising" as you call it. Simple template edits are all that are required to remove all traces of "clipshare" save for the one icon in the flv player. In fact the opposite is true in that the program has an admin interface for you to add your own advertiser such as those people who sponsor your forums. And you do NOT need a dedicated server (obviously that would be the preferred thing to do) all you need is to make sure your server has the correct plugins, which are commonly availiable for free. The people wh have problems with Clipshare are the same kind who have problems with Vbulletin- they jump in too fast and don;t follow simple instructions and then make posts saying "my program won't work! Help!"
You do have to pay them to put your own icon in the flv player.

Also, if you already have Photopost Integration worling, your members can upload video files if you enable them. It's not the best solution but it is an option.

It would be nice for someone to post some links to the freeware Youtube clone, as clipshare seems to have a lot of "affiliates" that get listed on a google search...
