Automatically add usernote when they request to join secondary usergroup
Automatically add a usernote when a user requests to join secondary usergroup.
This is a simple plugin that helps you and other group leaders keep track of when a user requested to join and the group. It will post a new user note containing the date of request, group name, and reason provided (if any). Be gentle..my first plugin worth sharing. I'm also working on one that adds a usernote when they are approved. Also, big thanks goes out to Amykhar whose PM plugin had the exact query I was pulling my hair out trying to create from scratch. Install Instructions Go to your admin cp, then: Plugin System -> Download / Upload Plugins -> Import Plugin Definitions XML File (at bottom of page on the right) -> Select 'plugin-aun.xml' from your computer then press 'Import' If you use this plugin, please click install so I know folks are using it! If you ask for support, please make sure you click install first (I can see who has clicked the link) Upgrade Instructions Go into the admincp -> Plugin System -> Plugin manager and find "AUN on secondary usergroup request" on the right and delete it. Then add the new version per the instructions above. 1.0.1 Minor bug fix 1.0.0 Initial Version |
I guess I should have this hack on my forums.
Thank you... |
If you would like a usernote added if the user is approved, use this product.
|
So you will be able to see how many times they have been declined?
What about the ability to see which mod has been declining them or accepting them etc. |
This mod only enters a new user note when a user requests to join a public joinable user group. It will show what group they requested and when.
That's all. As far as adding a note if they are approved, that's my other hack available here. I don't have any plugin for denials yet for download, but I'm testing it. However, this will show the amount of times a user has requested to join a particular user group. |
Thanks! very nice.
But when I'm installing this as a product it says its a plugin... Uuhhmm.. Is this working with "product_ug_approval_pm_un.xml" I'm not getting a mail if a user request to join a (public) secondary usergroup, (no mail to admin or other groupleader) But the user mail and usernote does. |
Ugh.
You are correct PimvanJ. This is a plugin!! I need to fix the OP. This works with "product_ug_approval_pm_un.xml". Once you import this as a plugin, the user requests will be added to the user notes. If you want the group leaders to get a PM when a user requests to join a secondary usergroup, you will need this plugin. |
Excelent...it works!!!
Great job! Thanks a lot. |
Nice one. Cheers.

This hack has a minor bug fix applied. Please uninstall and install the latest version.
