After upgrading to 3.0.7, I've decided to reinstall the arcade, and have 5 skins installed. For whatever reason the arcade only shows up on the first skin - the rest just show a blank, white screen, when I added the template additions, I made sure they all went on all skins, not just the first one.

I had this working fine on 3.0.5, but not it just won't work with different skins, only the first one on the list.

Any ideas?

Short of this I'll have to uninstall the arcade which I really don't want to do.

Doesn't matter sussed it out, it seems to only install the templates for the first skin, I manually changed it in the database so it was used for all skins....

Since the v3 Arcade site is shut down, is there anywhere else that has additions to this hack?

Just a note for people installing the "Extra" included in the zip file...learn from my mistake...know if you have vb3_ as the prefix for your tables before you upload the edit to arcade.php....it'll save you the "GODDAMNIT" :p

I tried to edit the text of one of the games I installed...and now it won't let me edit any settings for that game anymore....anyone have any thoughts as to why that might be?

The game still plays, and uploads the score and all....but all the settings in the AdminCP to change things on it are disabled for just the one game.

I run a test forum (changed now but originally shared the DB with the live forum) whenI installed this on the test forum everything was fine. Installed it on the live forum and got all sorts of error messages I think I have tracked itdown to the shared tables in the DB.

Is there a way to uninstall this to clear the tables from the DB and try a clean install?

There's no "uninstall" with this package. You'll have to go into the DB and remove the relevant entries manually.

What are the table names?

How do you delete games from your arcade home? I deleted the necessary files from:

/forums/admincp
/forums/games
/forums/images/arcade

But of course, the game itself still appears on arcade home. If anyone could assist with this, I would be most appreciative.

I found that reuploading a gamename.game.php file of a game I have installed and running it will give you the uninstall option.

You could always add this hack which is posted here in this thread somewhere..:)

I requested a mod for this....but it went unnoticed....will anyone be willing to tackle a tournament system for this hack? the ibproarcade has one....but I like how this one is laid out on the back-end....so I don't want to change if I can help it...any takers?

This is going to be a stupid question but I don't want to read through 265 pages of posts..

I have the games mod installed and it has the 5 basic games with it.. I have downloaded a bunch more games but how do you install each individual game? There are no directions of where I need to upload anything or what I need to do..

Every game should a set of at least 4 files. 2 of them are .gif images & they go in your forum/images/arcade/ directory.

You should also have a forum/games/ directory. This is where the .swf file goes.

There will also be a file named <game title here>.game.php. This goes into your admincp directory. Once all 4 files are in place you rin the .php one by doing the following:

www.<your domain name> and the path to the php file. Usually it's something like http://www.blablabla.com/forum/admin...ename.game.php


Once it installs you need to delete that php file so that no one else can run it!!

For v3, it is the forum/games/ directory by default for where your SWF file is uploaded.

Ok great.. I finally got it.. now have 15 of 595 games installed.. the problem is trying to figure which are the best.. Is there a list of really great games?

Like I said I have 595 and the only thing I can think to do is install and if it is no good then turn it off..

Also, my challenge system is not working, take a look and see if I did somethign wrong..

v3arcade v1.x.x is not compatible with 3.5. I am not aware of anyone that has ported the current version for use on 3.5. John's new version (from what I understand) should work under 3.5 when it is released.

Unfortunately, if you want to keep an arcade and you upgraded to 3.5, you will need to use iBProArcade.

Yikes - does that mean when I upgrade to ver 3.5 that I'll have to re-install all 600 games?

That brings up a good point... is ver 3.5 that dramatic of a change whereas many of the other hacks will not be able to be installed as well?

If upgrading the files that your arcade had to modify, you will need to redo the edits.

No, actually it means you cannot use v3arcade v1.x.x that is currently available at all unless someone ports it for 3.5. Heck, if iBPro can do it, I am sure someone here can convert 1.x over. Just not me right now!

Ok.. I am having this issue... I have converted my site from phpbb2 and everything went well and I have everything over, well everything but the skin..

I have installed the arcade and it seems that all of the members that was converted over get this message when they try and play a game..

fanzone, make sure you've set the correct permissions in the admincp.
I'm not sure how impex handles phpbb, but if I remember correctly, the imported users should be under a group called "Imported" or something similar where as your new members are more than likely registering into your default members group.
