I will inform you via the thread if there is any change, you don't need to keep asking. :)

I'm having a problem with the ads not showing after 2 threads or 2 forums on the front page. You can check it out here, you'll see the first two google ads show up under the forums, but the third one won't show. Its the same thing with threads..

That is a problem with Google, sometimes all the ads don't show up and they don't allow more than 3 per page, the rest will be blank.

Do Flash Banners work on this mod?

RedTyger 04-27-2007 04:14 PM

Anything that'll work in an HTML page will work.

I'm upgrading from 2.1 to 3.1 today. I'm not interested in Ad Sharing and I only want ads in the header (top right), in the footer (bottom center) and under the navbar (center).

I don't have right or left columns, and I don't want ads between posts or anywhere other than those three places.

I've been using 2.1 with ads in the header and under the navbar.

I've been using the footer code under the navbar, but I want to put an ad in the footer now, so I need another code for the navbar. Could I use one of the other ad codes under the navbar?

Where exactly is the "forumbit" ad supposed to display? I've turned it on but I can't see it anywhere.

Sorry to be so clueless, but I'm a newbie and not a programmer. Thanks!

Showing my ignorance again but I'll just tell you what I've done for now.

I've got the ads working back the way I had them. One in the header (right) and one under the navbar (center). I'm using the header code for the header ad and the footer code for the navbar ads.

I still would like to put one ad block in the footer. I want to put google down there. Can I just put the google ad code in the footer somewhere without using vb ad Management or do I need something else?

I'm very happy with the way my forum looks now and don't want to mess it up with columns or something extra... but some of my members would like google ads so I thought I'd put them at the bottom.

Thanks again!

I am sorry if this has been covered before. The ad management is working great, however, I would like the side ad to appear in the forum, but not my CMS (vbadvanced). Check out myfishsite.com You'll see that the ad makes the homepage awkward! So again, I would like the side ad only in the forums, not vbadvanced! Thanks in advance for the help, great mod btw!

If you look at the bottom of the modification post that appears at the top of every page, there is a guide about how to add your own custom adcode blocks. It's very quick and easy to do.

You need to find out what the THIS_SCRIPT definition for vB Advanced is because I can't remember myself, but you just need to add it to the Global Settings and all adverts will be excluded from that page.
