So where do we stand with V3 Arcade, games and copyrights?

If u got an e-mail from the game creator then u are alright with the copyrights of that game but if it is a variation of the orginal then u have to see if that has been given the permission to alter & ask the orginal creator if u can display it if u do not get an answer then delete that game and all others that u do not have the permission to display. I guess v3arcade.com is making sure that the creator's copyrights are followed since they are updating the way u can get their games or something. Most likely they view the ppl here & who makes a post. :paranoid:

Yea I do but u need to get them from the author , I can not help u in that. I got the authorization e-mail but u have to contact them yourselves & get permission. U need to keep the e-mail in a safe place or they can turn-around and say u do not have the rights to place it in your FORUM. :rolleyes:

I am going to make my own games so nobody will get any problems with copyrights as long as u do not change anything without prior appovel. I seen what ppl do to the orginal game after they modified it. I will be stricted on my games.

Problem: I seem to be having a permission denied when ever I try access the arcade. Yes it is happening for all users including admin. I have checked the user permission and it's all correct.

Yes I looked at the FAQ and checked to make sure my init and global php files were modified correctly. I'm running vb 3.0.7

I don't have any other hacks on the forum besides a small forum statistics hack. Could someone maybe send me their modified php files if they haven't done many other hacks changes to it?

All of a sudden I cant get to my arcade. Says
I am running this arcade on my site and the ibProArcade v2.5.1 for vBulletin on another. on V3arcade, my members can access but I cant.

I am just going to unistall it and wait for 3.5 before I reinstall an Arcade. I can delete the files and reverse the file template mods, but which db tables are installled with this mod? I checked in phpmyadin and see no "arcade" tables, but I do see some "game.." tables:
gamechallenges
gamenews
games
gamescat
gamesessions
Are these the correct ones to drop?

Yeah those are the ones to lose, I did the same, reverse install of all my hacks, including the arcade and went thru the database manually to find things like this - there will also be tables in templates and phrases, but if you're upgrading to 3.5 then I wouldn't worry, you could always clean install templates and phrases again.

I'm trying to get the arcade fully working with the .swf files being hosted on another server. I've updated the templates appropriatly, and the games are loading/running fine. However, when they go to submit a high score, it doesn't seem to work :ermm:

The arcade is just too darn popular...LOL... **great** script btw =)

Is there a path somewhere that needs editing?

:ermm: I think john got busted did not he get charge for having games that did not have permission to display. It was posted in this thread a couple of weeks ago.

I have one issue after following the instructions. It seems as though the templates do not work as

does not show anything. I did run "admincp/install_arcade.php" and it said the whole thing was successful (after the steps where done), but seems the templates do not show. Did I forget anything? Thank you in advance.

take all the templates that are on the default one that are orange( that are clearly put there from the arcade installation) and put them in the other style.

have got a small problem with the arcade:
after installing the ipbarcade the v3arcade does not work anymore:

Likes a user with isn't a member anymore.
Check the gamescore for this and remove the user who isn't longer a member

a question, how do I uninstall games? If it envolves MySQL data look overs, then i'm coll with that.

You cannot have both arcade installed at the same time........

Sorry but you are wrong as you can have both of them installed and there are many sites around that do. Soemwhere in this long thread there is a couple of links showing just that..:)

Yes, I'm about to run both side-by-side since I'm going to have to move to ibProArcade to have it work with vBulletin 3.5.x. I'm happy to see that there's no problem in doing this and that games that have been modified for v3Arcade are readily portable to ibProArcade.

I posted the same question a few pages ago and I see several others are having the same problems. I have the arcade turned on and it was working fine, does anyone know how to fix this?

that means all the scores etc....are portable to ib?

What I am after is when you view a members stats and it shows there awards (if any) I would like to be able to click the image or the name of the game they are champion so that it takes me straight to the game.

I have looked at the code but I am wary of messing about with it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Recheck your modifications to files. Make sure you did not forget to put in a closing bracket or put one too many in. This happened to me and I screwed up by missing a closing bracket in one of the files (init.php or global.php I think).

v3arcade is not dead, but it is definitely slowed down right now. John is working on the new version that will port into vB 3.5. No release dates from him and I do not think he is answering any questions about it.

I installed the Arcade and it works great, but on my main page I've lost the search function. I would also like to have a link to the arcade in my navigation bar.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you in advance.
