Including the permissions within each usergroup? admin control panel > User groups > user group manager > edit user group (each one) > MGC Chatbox Evo : Custom permissions (at the bottom....) You need to enable it there for each one, even admin.

MGC Chatbox Evo > Chats formatting and sending in the admin control panel. Option: Message to display in the input field on page load

Also can we get all of it translated into English? I noticed there is a lot especially in the admincp settings that is not in English...

Follow the instructions for the language pack.. I think the only things not translated are those fields that you can enter in the admin CP... Fields like: /ban command : Content of the sent PM

Well that is what I am talking about. I don't read French or whatever it may be so I have no clue as to what those settings are...

If you do this part: The settings are in English. You just need to change the actual content of a few fields... These are pretty much only in the Command options section of the MGC Chatbox Evo settings though. If you don't see for the MGC Chatbox Evo in the admin control panel... You need to do the language pack install again/correctly.

Nevermind, got it fixed. Had to upload the lang file about 20 times but it finally took.

I don't know what could cause it to only partially import like that.. but I'm glad you got it. I understood none of it had changed to English and that's why I was saying to follow the language instructions.

Did you ever have a time that it was working? What version of Vbulletin are you using?

It was working fine until I got the language problem fixed, I also cleared my cache, not sure if that if the cause. But I cannot use the shoutbox at all now.

I'm not a coder- but I don't know what installing a language pack could do to cause it... All I could come up with is:

* 3.6 version of vB : Don't forget SECURITYTOKEN modification as explained in install instructions
* Check that you haven't any non reverted chatbox templates (one that you might have modified)
* Refresh your browser cache

edit: I see a chat working on your site... maybe they're not compatible?

I think clearing my cache screwed something up on my end cause I can't see anything. I tried rebooting, reconnecting etc.. nothing has worked.

nah- clearing your cache couldn't cause a problem.. it would just redownload the files.... How did you do it? Hold CTRL + Shift press reload? Which browser? Have you tried another (IE/Firefox...)

edit: if you turn it on for unregistered visitors I'll see if I can see it...

Yep- it works... (firefox and IE) do what I said above.. Hold ctrl and shift and click refresh for firefox...

Shoutbox works when I'm not logged in but soon as I do login it says Loading..

crtl+shift+refresh didn't work.

Well I went as far to backup my drive & reformat thinking my something on my computer got seriously messed up. I have tried everything and it's still doing the same thing. So I'm starting to think it's the script itself. Cause on I.E. it saying there is an Ajax error.

On IE, the javascript problem is not a real problem. You have a link to the fix in the first post of the thread.

I have looked at your forum and I can see the chats while not loggedin.

Yeah but once I log in it get's stuck on "Loading.." in I.E & FireFox.

Have you done the security token modification as I assume you have vB3.6 ?

Hello. I have a little problem with channel management. I am unable to display a channel icon on the left of the channel.
I have uploaded an image to the images/misc/mgc_cb_evo/channels folder and entered the name of that image in the box Name of the channel image in the AdminCP (with no extension as it says).
Whatever i do, that image don't want to dispaly. Only the name of a channel is seen. I even tried to upload the image to /images/misc/mgc_cb_evo/ folder. Change the name of the image to mgc_cb_evo_(name).gif and still nothing.

Please advise.

MAK-upl - This is what's in my name of channel field and it works... mgc_cb_evo_tteam then you need 3 images for it in the channels folder... mgc_cb_evo_team_new.gif, mgc_cb_evo_team_nosel.gif, mgc_cb_evo_team_sel.gif

Hmm, the chat import from MGC Chatbox 1.5 doesn't work - I've a table prefix and there is no error about, only the successfully message, but no chat item were imported from the prefix_mgc_chatbox table. :(

Correct me if i am wrong. It's a little bit strange.

MAK-upl- You name the channel whatever you want. Then in that *Name of the channel image* space you enter *mgc_cb_evo_team* but replace the "team" part with whatever you name the images... for the sake of being easy... in the folder you download there is a channel_icons folder with a set of icons for team (you'll see team in each of the 3 file names).. upload those into your channels folder on your server and set the name of the channel image to what I have above. Each of the 3 images is for something different.. the _new flashes. the _nosel is a faded image and _sel is a normal icon. You'll see what i'm talking about when you look at them. You can look at those 3 images and see what you need to do to make your own if you would like.... I just use the team icons for the second channel cause they were provided :D

There is no such table in the MGC Chatbox. The table that stores all the chats is called "mgc_chatbox" there is no "prefix_mgc_chatbox".

Successfully installed on 3.8, however getting a lot of AJAX errors when I just leave the page open.....

Hi- I wonder how the limit on chats per 24hrs is counted... if it is 1:32 now.... Is it updated per min? (1:32 pm today to 1:31pm yesterday) per hour? (1pm today to 12:59pm yesterday) per day? (12pm -11:59am daily) Just so I can get a better idea of when a person is over how long of not chatting it takes to update.
Also, when I turned it on today- I had to turn it up to almost 4000 I know he posts a lot, but I don't think that much :p

edited: just used the find all posts by user and I count about 105 in the past 24hrs... not 4000 *shrug* but there are 3525 by the same person in the current history. and I just had to up his from 3500 so I guess it's going by that count. Which goes back to Dec 18th.

Now it's happening to more members. They log out they can see it, they login it's nothing but "loading.."

Looking like I may have to uninstall this one and find another if we can't get it fixed.

When the kind users that used to do the translation will update them. I don't manage them so ask directly the corresponding users ;)

It's yahoo css based. You have to edit the whole css or surchage it.

No no the number of posts in the last 24hours to allow user to see the chatbox is a dynamic count I just checked the code and no issue in it.
