I've already clicked installed, but I'm waiting for the fixes to those bugs recently mentioned.

I did not find them at all clear. I could probably work it out, but for people who don't have english as their first language...

I need to advise you to back up your database before attempting anyway sort of database manipulation.

--------

You will now need to run groups/tools/grps_installer.php.

--------

Now upload the files. and you're good to go (after running adding the product ofcourse).

================
This part isn't clear, really. Remember, instruction manuals need to cater to all levels ^^ Is your user supposed to run the installer before he uploads it to his server? I suggest making the steps a bit clearer, e.g.

1) Template Edites
2) Configure files
3) Upload files
4) Run installer.php
5) Upload the product from root. (and by that do you mean the forum folder, or the website folder. I tend to upload my product files from my computer rather then from the server location.)

Also something about different locations. Is it possible to put /groups in .com/forums/groups ? or does it have to be on the same level as the forums?

I'm kinda new at this VB stuff. I'm following the install instructions and got to the point where I'm supposed to do this:

now in your "USERCP" template find:
--------
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr>
<td width="100%">&nbsp;</td>
<td align="$stylevar[right]">$forumjump</td>
</tr>
</table>
--------

and above that add:
--------
$grps_mygroupsbits

I looked in my USERCP.php file and this code is NOT there. Am I looking in the wrong file?

n00b! j/k ;)

heh. Read Carefully. usercp template :) Not file. So in AdminCP go to Styles and Templates ... for your main style find the USERCP template :)

Based on the following usergroup settings i cannot confirm this
Code:

Can View Groups?          Yes
Can Create Groups?        Yes
Can Join Groups?        Yes
Can Post Messages In Groups?        Yes
Can Edit Messages Posted In Groups?        Yes
Can Delete Messages Posted In Groups?        Yes
Number Of Groups Usergroup Can Join Limited?        Yes
Can Moderate Groups?        No
Can View IP Addresses?        No

that's what i have for registered. by default the edit button should show for everyone by the way.

FIRST OFF, Love this HACK!

I have two problems and one question.

Problems are the gradiant is missing as seen in the attachment, I would also like to remove the nav bar also in the picture. I have no need for it in the groups how can I fix these?

Question:
  1. Pictures, how many can I have? these aer the ones in the groups that rotate at the top.
  2. Can I use a custom image for each group?
  3. Can I use HTML or BB CODE in the group description?
  4. Indexing, groups is that possibale?

Thank you,
Glenn

i'm unfamiliar with the style you're using, however i'd assume you'd just need to fix the css.

To answer your questions based on 2.0.4:
  1. None
  2. You can't
  3. BB Code? Yes. HTML? No.
  4. What do you mean?

you would literally need to re-skin the product. Though what is three columns? you could actually get away with just changing the css if you just want to change the column count.
