Was getting this error in the first sitemap:
Code:

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

I think it has something to do with the forum that is a link. It's reading it incorrectly. I've since excluded that forum (and others that are links) from the sitemaps. That should solve the problem, right?

For some reason, I'm getting this error when I run vb-root/vbseo_sitemap/index.php:

Warning: main(./global.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in vb-root/vbseo_sitemap/index.php on line 27

Warning: main(): Failed opening './global.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php') in vb-root/vbseo_sitemap/index.php on line 27

When I run the Sitemap Generator, it fails too.

I did CHMOD data to 777, the files inside data to 666, imported the XML, added the .htaccess file (from your zip file) to vb-root, and changed the settings in admincp.

Any ideas? It looks like somehow the forum directory isn't set right, but nothing I've changed looks like it works. Thanks!

I installed this the other day, and it worked as advertised. However, today, Google is on my site, and every page they're trying to view is an error page, because they're looking at links like:

http://www.mysite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?amp;f=159

Any ideas?

I do not have VBSEO installed.

What I'd like to do is to create a sitemap of my archive pages only. However when I configure it this way my sitemap looks like this:

Quote:

http://www.divepros.org/forums/
1
2006-05-05T14:40:29+00:00
daily

http://www.divepros.org/forums/archive/index.php
1
2006-05-05T14:40:29+00:00
daily
It's not so much mapping the archive as pointing to it. How can I get it to generate a map for the archive to include things such as:

http://www.divepros.org/forums/archi...x.php/f-2.html
http://www.divepros.org/forums/archi....php/t-27.html

etc.?

tpearl5,

PM sent

fasteddie,

make sure that you installed vBSEO Sitemap Generator in your vB root folder (not in the site root).

TheEDIGuy,

do you have incorrect links included in sitemap? (otherwise it must be just related to the links posted at your site/external sites)

James Goddard,

do you have these URLs added when if enable Forumdisplay/Showthread URLs in vBSEO Sitemap Generator options?

TheEDIGuy 05-05-2006 05:31 PM

I've looked over my links in the sitemap files, and they appear to be correct. But I have 1.625 million links in my sitemap files, so it's pretty much impossible for me to hand-check them all. This morning, I had around 500 googlebots on the site, ALL viewing error pages similar to the one I posted.

iojam 05-05-2006 05:37 PM

TheEDIGuy,

this must be related to something else then (vBSEO Sitemap Generator doesn't form URLs like "forumdisplay.php?amp;..." )

No, I turned those on and still get only the 2 links.

James
