Btw, with Suhosin, do you see the notice regarding Suhosin on instance management? I don't have it available so I don't know if the notice actually shows up or not.

Great that you see the notice :D That means if I need to tell my Suhosin users something else in the future / amend that message, I can do so easily :)

To put vBShout in a custom location, do the following:


Step 1: AdminCP -> DBTech - vBShout-> Instance Management -> [Edit].

Step 2: Change the Auto-Display Shoutbox setting to Disabled.

Step 3: Write down the the Varname setting. For the default shoutbox, it's instance1. The rest of this guide will assume you replace instance1 with the actual Varname if it is different.

Step 4: Enter the Style Manager and add {vb:raw show.vbshout_instance1} to the navbar template beneath the {vb:raw ad_location.global_below_navbar}

Hi just updated to version 4.2 and it is showing as 4.1 in the archive but 4.2 in the products manager and still unable to place the shoutbox in the cms page using {vb:raw show.vbshout_instance1} but can on any forum page.
