There is sometimes a bug after reloading the page which causes, that the chatbox doesn't scroll down automatically.

This bug also causes, that there will not be loaded all shouts...

Ok here's an issue. I have installed [vB3.6.x-vB3.7.x]MGC_Chatbox_Evo_0.5.0 previously

And it was working all good. Yea chatbox was lil slow otherthan that everything seems to be fine.

And then i got mail stating that there is a new version so i thought of upgrading it.

Did follow all the instruction and didnt got any error while upgrading but

My issue is i cant see my chatbox anymore. I tried to do everything possible. Chatbox is active and everything seems to be fine but i cant see my chatbox anywhere in my forum.

WHat might be my problem? Any suggestion good ppl

This is not a bug lol You just have to avoid ' character in your phrases or code it as HTML.

Auto-Scrolling in Internet Explorer (7) doesn't work any more...
Maybe it has also anything to do with the old zip-file?

I installed everything in the new zip file like I have for the past couple of versions. For some reason, The chatbox shows up but the chat messages and the recent threads area doesn't. It's just an empty box. Any ideas?

Yes i have uninstall everything and reinstall 2.1 version. But its not loading. As u can see above, it cannot load chat box at all. And all the buttons like simly , thrash, rules all these buttons are not working as well.

What might be the problem?

Zip file is now updated and tested as working

For those of you that installed it earlier, import the product again and upload the files from the Files directory again.

Installed or updated ? Perhaps it's a problem with the zip that wasn't uptodate

I do not see the Commands folder in the new updated unzipped folder for the channels. Maybe I should read some of the older posts.

WOW I can finally say that this version is working AWESOME. I also like the new copyright it flows MUCH BETTER with the look of the chatbox versus the other style. Also the new option to "Activate the display of Today/Yesterday in the date for the chatbox" is awesome as well!! Great work Thanks a lot VBDev! :)

No more commands folder since 1.0.0 (if my memory is ok).

Few hints :
  • 3.6 version of vB : Don't forget SECURITYTOKEN modification as explained in install instructions
  • Check that you haven't any non reverted chatbox templates (one that you might have modified)
  • Refresh your browser cache

Guys there is a readme... All is explained in it.
You should have removed the files before uninstalling the product !
To correct the problem reimport the product and then remove all chatbox files (especially the xml files in the includes/xml directory) and then remove the product.

Since 2.0.2, bbcode and smilies are usergroup permission based. So you have to set the usergroup permissions to allow you having the right to use them hehe.

About English translation, if you imported the last english file everything should be fine, no french except in some of the options but as I always says these are customizable :)

I used to use the vBShout v2.0 ChatBox that was originally created by ZeroTolerance, which I believe now has been renamed into Inferno vBShout Lite. In any case while these two mods are basically the same, unfortunately there are some differences in the table names thus making it not possible to use the Inferno Import Script to import chats from vBShout inot MGC EVO.

So I reworked the import script a little to allow the importing of vBShout Chats into MGC EVO. Just posting this up for VBDev if you would like to implement this into your next version, or if anyone knows what they are doing they could use this to import also. Just replace the mgc_cb_evo.php file from your admincp folder with the one that I have attached. Then your "Import Scripts" page will show up like this.

Also this mgc_cb_evo.php file is from the current 2.1.0 version.

Just wanted to say to VBDev:

It should be:
$find = '$chatbox_forumhome';

rather than:
$search_text = '$chatbox_forumhome';

in the manual "Display problem in some styles"

Thanks for the update though! And is it possible the sound can be done through something else rather than quicktime? A lot of people don't have quicktime.

In firefox 3.0.5 if the chatbox is minimized I get a sql database error email... I spoke with the guy that the errors were coming from and found if I minimize it I get them for my username as well...

PS- I know nothing about coding but did see something in there about mysql and limit 20.. so i will say I do have NEW Separate SQL query for the notifications enabled and 20 set for NEW Number of notifications to display in the chatbox....

Using vBulletin 3.8.0 RC 2, Opera 9.6.2 and IE7. If I collapse the shoutbox, an AJAX error occurs.

Edit:
Get a sql database error email too, with the same content like in adnedarn his post (#3671)

Workaround until final fix. Open file mgc_cb_evo_ajax.php and search for:

$limit = $vbulletin->options['mgc_cb_evo_nbchats_closed']; 
Replace with:

            $limit = 0;
            $sql_where_clause_notifs = 0;

Integration into IBProarcade
In order to display the chatbox on the IBProarcade pages, follow these instructions:
In the admin control panel, go in the Display and positions of the chatbox.
Activate the option Display the chatbox on defined pages in a var or Display the chatbox on defined pages below the navbar.
In the pages list, add :

arcade

and then validate.
Open the arcade/functions/functions.php file and search for function do_output($output_array).
After // add additional needed variables, add :

global $mgc_cb_evo,$mgc_cb_evo_var;


Finally, if you are using te option to display the chatbox in a var, edit the ARCADE template and add :

$mgc_cb_evo_var

where you want the chatbox to appear.
What do you post at the readme and the Shoutbox is visible.

Later i have copy the files from 2.1.0 and import the Product and the Shoutbox is invisible at the Arcade...

Now i copy the 2.0.2 files and import the Product and the Shoutbox is visible at arcade...nothing more i have do at the admincp...
