I vote for PHP Link Directory as an add-on for this. Is it possible that this might be in the works soon?

This may be a stupid question but does this work with Twitter or Google + login?
I know that VB doesn't handle this but Wordpress does and I am integrating Wordpress + vBulletin.

It will work, but it's recommended to go through special plugins and enable them.
