Just wondering can this and v3arcade be installed at the same time, so my members can test both systems out and then I can decide which one to keep?

I am new to loading this software and I have done and checked everything to the instructions but have got this error massage when I click on Arcade in the Admincp: -

OK I am now fully loaded but for the life of me can't find instructions on how to load new games. Can anyone help here? I've done the difficult bit just need this little extra help!

I use ibProArcade v2.6.4+. Now I already scanned the topic, but found nothing suitable thing. I would limit gladly the number of Highscores per Game on 100, since with some Games are present over 5000 Highscores already. How do I reach so a delimitation?

There must be someone out there who knows how to add games? I'm assuming that the .tar files I have downloaded need to be extracted, is this correct? Then once I've done that where do I place the files and what values do I enter in the Add Games section of my Admincp?

I'm sure this is a simple thing but never having done it before I could really do with some assistance.

I hate to tell you this but the fix never removed PacMan...cause it's still there...as I'm sure you're aware from other posts.

Hopefully, you're working on a patch to fix the patch you just released and will notify all when it is.

In the interim...I have 2.6.4 installed and it's working with the new product xml from a previous post. BTW...has that been included in the zip file you currently have? The reason I ask is because I see users who are still having that same installation issue...and if they don't see the post...they will still continue to have issues.

In the meantime...I have 2.6.4 running...with PacMan still there.

No you do not have to extract the tar files. I have replied to you at ibprodownloads.com, please, you need to give people a chance to reply to you. In the last 10 hours I have seen at least 6 posts over 2 forums and your two requests in the shoutbox over there. I understand how frustrating it can be because most of us have been there and others will follow but the members who have been there or who are supporting will reply and help you.

For anyone else wanting the same instructions on how to:-

Step by step how to for those using

vBadvanced 3.0
vBulletin 3.6.8 and
IbProArcade v2.6.3 or v2.6.4

1. Dowload games from arcade here to folder on your pc
2. Upload zip file to your tar folder (eg / public_html / forum / arcade / tar /) (do not extract from zip its not needed)
3. Go to your admincp>arcade>add game
4. Now scroll to bottom on the page and you should see a table with your tar games - Install via a TAR archive (for ibProArcade Games) and you have the option of clicking install or delete.

Installing this way its all automatic for you and quick, at the bottom of the box it says install all which saves a lot of time.

The only time you need to fill in the top bit is if you are installing manually or you have a problem with a game and you cant adjust its settings in admincp when the latter happens you are just copying the game data into a fresh add game and when you add a game manually which you have downloaded somewhere else they will usually give you instructions on what the values are for you to add.

Do not extract the files.
Upload them as they are to:
yourforum/arcade/zip
or
yourforum/arcade/tar

They will be extracted by the server when you are installing them through the ACP.
In my case the server is not extracting zip files,only the tar files.

Hi - I have a new install of the arcade downloaded yesterday on vb3.6.8. It installed a dream but I cannot add any new games. I have uploaded some TAR files as instructed but looking in my add game page, the Install TAR archive just says -no archive present - but there are definately games in there.
I also have vba cmps v3 RC2 installed - could it be something to do with the files paths because of that?

ok - I am stupid. I just remembered that not sure whether to add arcade folder to site root or forum root I added it to both. I moved tar files to archive in forum/arcade folder instead of the one in site root and guess what - it now works. :eek:

Ive searched and could not find the answer anywhere. My forum uses a skin and the background of my postbit_legacy info has a shade and the arcade image that goes into my users postbit legacy is very plain and i would like to add the shade to that also.

Now where can i find the code for this where it is placed on the postbit_legacy? I looked everywhere and could not find any arcade templates.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Now CHMOD the /arcade directory and all its subfolders to 0777

Make sure that there is no installer.php in your forum's root directory, if so -> delete them !

You find them on your server, usually using an FTP program (or perhaps your control panel file manager on the server).

by now we already DOUBLED the amount of installations of v3arcade, this really proves that development, support and a rich set of feature do really count for you all.

1. Is there any different templates besides the ones provided with the distributive?
2. There appears to be no vBa modules for 3.6.8 and 2.6.4-5+ I searched both vBa site and this one. Unfortunately all the modules are absolete. Could you please point me in the right direction?

I just had someone help me with this and we got it done right I think LOL but it keeps saying that The administrator has disabled playing games for your usergroup. ibProArcade for vBulletin and yet we have everyone allowed to play. Any suggestions?

Well...here we go again...

Another update and it still hasn't resolved the fact that PacMan is still there and isn't automatically removed.

Hey...why don't you tell eveyone this before you do another update to the hack that still doesn't remove PacMan: "There's a copyright infringement, please uninstall the PacMan game manually."

I mean...several people have reported this issue, but you never even addressed it. You even state it within the details of the hack on every page of the main thread of this mod...but the fact of the matter is your update may have taken care of some security issues, but it still hasn't resolved the fact that PacMan does NOT get automatically removed once you follow the upgrade instructions within your latest release.

I'm not trying to be a pain in the neck, but if you're going to support something...support it.

At 2.6.5 the Bug is still not fixed ..... *argh*

I do support this, and if in fact the game pacman does not automatically gets removed, remove it manually. Sorry, the XML was corrupted in v2.6.4+, yes, I apologize for that. I now see that pacman remains in the arcade if you had updated to 2.6.4 before and thus the code does not get executed again... I will put a pinned thread in the support-area to remove pacman, ok ? ;)

Because i see that there are Guys on both Threads reporting the same Problem and get the Feedback from both if they have still the same Problem.
