Instance Management, in the AdminCP :)
It's in the DBTech - vBShout nav group. Fillip |
yeah...that's probably it...it's not on the admin cp under my normal account. When I logged into super admin it was there. I have no defined shoutbox instances... Let me set one up I guess.. Any certain ways I'm supposed to set it up?
And does this require that I modify the actual template files? EDIT: ok...something is seriously wrong...When I try to create an instance, no matter what I type in, it either throws me a fatal error, or it says The instance (name here) already exists. And there's clearly no defined instances....so what do I do? delete the product and start over? |
Go into the Administrator Permissions editing interface in vBulletin and grant your "normal account" the Can Administer vBShout permission :)

Well..that helped me find out why I couldn't manage my vbcredits from my normal account. Thanks...lol but oddly enough, can administer vbshout wasn't there...maybe it didn't install right? Thinking back, I can't remember if I set the folder permissions to 777 from my firezilla...may need to look at that when I get a chance. Thanks for the help so far! anything else you can reccomend?

If it's not there then it's possible it may not have installed right. A reinstall might be helpful.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks for the help, I'll start it over when I get a chance. By the way, this has nothing to do with VB version 4.1.3 right? no known bugs?
|
We're running it on 4.1.3 no problem :)

I reinstalled it as super admin. That did the trick...I gave myself the administrative rights and now it seems to be working perfectly.. Thanks!
