You have to click "Insatll Templates". Dont run the whole installer.

I have 1 question: When you click "Thank you", does it count as a reply ? Because if counts as a reply, it's exactly what I'm looking for! I'm using the infamous HIDE hack and if this hack works with the HIDE hack, it will clear A LOT of "Thank yous" posts.

If it doesn't count as a reply, can you make it so it will count as a reply ? I'll look into the codes of this hack AND the HIDE hack, see if I can made the modification myself. It should be pretty simple.

Thank you for sharing your hack!

I did this for someone once. Look around at the mod requests and contact the user.

emtee 09-29-2005 08:16 AM

After hours of digging through the modification request, I still couldn't find the post you mentioned. Is there anyway you can direct me to that post ? Thanks.

emtee 09-29-2005 06:29 PM

Thanks a lot Abe1. I sent him a PM. Is there any chance you still have that thank you + hide hack around, in case the person I contacted was away for some time?

Now I'm going to analyze this Thank you hack with the Hide hack and try to make the mod myself. Thanks for your outstanding support!

You didn't do the other template edit then. Please read the manual carfully.

Version 2.0 GOLD released.

Click here to go to it: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...threadid=92410

If you are using 1.10 now, just upgrade your forum normally, and install this hack like it's a FRESH installation. You wont over write all the thanks that are there already.

After I clicked splited thread i got this front error bulletin message:
Unable to add cookies, header already sent.

I have corrected it with original functions_showthread.php, but still having this warning:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/www/webpage.com/www/includes/functions_showthread.php on line 294

I downloaded and installed the hack only a few days ago. Yesterday, after merging 2 threads, the following error appeared:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /includes/functions_showthread.php on line 249

Another member at the forums said that he's unable to see the post and is only getting vbulletin message:
Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
File: /home/ifcom/public_html/forum/includes/init.php
Line: 27

Any advice on how do I go about fixing this?

thanks

EDIT: I changed the style so theres no need :) though I'd still be interested to know how its done...

I didn't read the whole thread, just to page 8 or 9 sorry for that.
But is there any correction which fixes the mentioned problem? I have this on my forum, too but I don't know who to fix it.

Could anyone help me out? Thanks! :)

Btw: Great Hack *clicks install* :)

Thanks for the answer,

but am I the only one who has this problem? If not, how do the others solve this problem? I can't find anything in the templates...

Others have the problem. It seems like vb is missing a <br /> in the showthread template. I didn't look but it seems like the first place i'd look. Right under were the postbits are added.

I solved it a week ago I guess... so here is the solution. Works for me.

In postbit_legacy oder postbit template on top
Replace:
PHP Code:

<if condition="!$post['islastshown']"><div style="padding:0px 0px $stylevar[cellpadding]px 0px"></if>

with
PHP Code:

<if condition="!$post['islastshown']"><div style="padding:0px 0px $stylevar[cellpadding]px 0px"><else /><div style="padding:0px 0px $stylevar[cellpadding]px 0px"></if>

And at the end of the template
Replace:
PHP Code:

<if condition="!$post['islastshown']"></div></if>

with
PHP Code:

<if condition="!$post['islastshown']"></div><else /></div></if>

Greetz :)

This wouls be the same as:

All thanks? Totally remove all thanks?

JOM 11-28-2005 02:27 PM

Yes boss, every month I'd like to reset everyone on my board back to zero, is this possible? (I hope to have a monthly prize for the *most thanked* user)

You can uninstall then re-install. No need to do the template of file edits though.

xfaethorx 12-14-2005 08:54 AM

has anyone noticed a problem with this when you split a thread with thanked posts?
i just did it and it caused me quite a few problems , i had to do this in function_showthread.php to get rid of a few errors.

if($post_thanks_cash){
foreach ($post_thanks_cash AS $thanks)
{
if ($thanks[postid] == $post[postid])
{
$nb ++;
}
}
}
the downside is that although the posts were thanked they are no longer recorded as thanked in the split thread. The above gets rid of the foreach and header problems i had. Was this already solved?

Most people don't split threads so this is your lucky day - you're the first to find it :nervous: I'm sure Abe will address it as it is a major bug :ermm: Hopefully it won't be to hard to solve.

He is not the first to find it. It has been reported before. I'm cworking on updates for this version any more so dont expect to see an update that will fix it.

xfaethorx 12-14-2005 08:43 PM

its ok i dont' expect it to be fixed, thanks for the reply :D though. At least if anyone else has the problem theres a solution. Its not really a massive problem to be honest (well the fax you lose the thanks isn't a problem the fact it break is!). Theres a solution to the problem so its all good :D.

b65ran 12-28-2005 02:08 PM

Thanks for the nice hack. I have one question. Is there any way I can remove thanks for a certain user. Right now we have "remove all" options. Is it posibble to remove only for one user. The reason I need this because one of our user has created several accounts. And he thanks to one of his user name to get more reputations points.

Thanks in advanced.

No function like that.

I installed the hack and follow each and every single step straight but the Thank button doesn't appear in any of the threads and posts.
