ps - how do you warn the user? I don't see anything about it in their profiles or in the admin ctrl panel.

pps - I noticed a significant difference in the time that my board takes to load after installing this... sort of like a pause before everything loads.. any ideas?

Once again, you talent supercedes our desires...This is prolly one of the most in-depth hacks I've yet to see that maintain usefullness on our sites! Kudos to you!

One thing I wish we could enact would be to allow warnings only to take place in forums moderators actually moderate. I had an issue yesterday where something got out of control, and instead of notifying the moderator in control of that section, a moderator went out on his own and proceeded to warn the user.

Is there a way to do this? is it already implemented and I just don't know it? Thanks!

You missed a whole bunch of the install code. You have to enter this in the postbit, and getinfo templates [Manually]!

I had to uninstall the hack but would like to reinstall it. When I tried to run the install_warning.php file a second time, I got an error:

I tried running the install script, and keep getting this error:

sounds about the same as what happened to me... either you ran the install 2x, or you have a hack already installed that's conflicting with this one. If the first case (2x install) then I figured out that you (well I had to) have to access your mysql database (best to use something like phpmyadmin) and manually delete the tables the script made. The uninstaller did not work on the database (just removed the template changes). On mine I was able to delete most of it - though there's still a few things I can't find (some of the parts of the options panel are doubled). If someone knows how to fix that please tell me.

If the other case.... check one of the first few pages of this thread.... i dont recall exactly which other than it's near the beginning I believe, and someone had a problem with a conflicting hack and someone told them what to do.

Works 100% with unhacked 2.2.9 No trouble at all!

Now add "setting.php" on the end...It should look like:
Now...Scroll down through the page, and find the duplicate / original Warnings System's hack vBulletin Options...

Delete them, and then use the install file attached:)

This script works perfect with my 2.2.8 version, but how can I change the colors of the text for the "Warnings Display." I have a dark background template and want the letters to be white. Thanks.

script worked perfectly with my 2.2.6 vb. one little bug tho, if you view a members profile who has points it doesnt display the amount of points they have, its blank.

Too confusing ... one of the files listed to edit does not exist ... got frutrated and deleted it all ...

Man, I REALLY want this hack, but with 23 pages of comments, help requests, etc., I'm not sure which end is up. Is there a FINAL version of the install instructions and files necessary to put this mod in place? I read through most of the pages, but it looks like some people got it on the first shot, and others killed their board in the process.

I've got a quick question: Is it possible to set it up so that only Moderators of a Forum can actually give warnings to those only in their Forum? I have a problem with Moderators policing other forums and handing out warnings in areas they shouldn't be...

is there still support offered for this hack?

I asked a question many pages ago and it was never even addressed.

I understand that it is patience-trying to read the same questions asked over and over again about something that is covered in the install instructions but my question was about a possible bug and is not addressed anywhere by anyone.

k i've installed the hack.

When I click "[ View Warnings List ]" on the main page it brings me to page that says this..

*notes that there is no other sign that the hack is installed visibily on the forums exept for the text on the main page "[ View Warnings List ]" and the added menu in admin CP. Other then that the warnings section isn't in profiles or any posts at bottom.

When I goto admin CP and click modify warning's i get this message...

Added on the installation installation_txt.php and install the install_warning.php now i see in the cp the warning center in the board i see show warning points, but i don?t see the user point?s under the user in the topic, also i can?t see the warn fuction on a topic :(

I found the error :)) in vbulletion options they can edit the warning system, if you not filled the right usergroups, the warning system not shown in the topic...fine script :)!

I found a little mistake, the point´s shows in the topic than user level, if i give 7 points it is level: 7 what´s wrong?

i was told to "run" the file from admincp and it will install necessarry files. How do I run the file from adminCP. I have no clue how or where to do it in admincp

for some reason the warning bit in the sigs doesnt show up in all the users sigs, some mods and registered users dont have it, how do i fix this?

and whats the warnconfig.php file, its not in the zipper folder.
