Thought Id give this mod another go, but still getting 404 errors on all post, and a few other DB mods I have installed.

HTAccess files is

#RewriteEngine On

# If you are having problem with "None Could Be Negotiated" errors in Apache, uncomment this to turn off MultiViews
# Options -MultiViews

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(*****acp/|dbseocp/|*****mcp/|cron|mobiquo|forumrunner|api\.php|reviewpost/|classifieds/|photopost/)
RewriteRule ^((archive/)?(.*\.php(/.*)?))$ dbseo.php [L,QSA]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !/(*****acp/|dbseocp/|*****mcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images|reviewpost| classifieds|photopost)/
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ dbseo.php [L,QSA]

and server shows it using apache 2.2.27

Any ideas ?

Well, I uninstalled this mod. Thanks you all your help but I think fighting with this for a week is way to long and time to move away from it.

Done that, still getting the same issue :(

Terrablade 06-12-2014 08:14 AM

Filip, I dont see anything that shows a Graph in the dbseo cp area :/

cdoyle 06-13-2014 01:44 PM

I'm getting an odd error all of a sudden in my sitemap, according to google.

It's saying that this
/forums/dbseositemap.php?fn=dbseo_sitemap_tags_7.xml.gz

Has no URLs now.

It wasn't saying that before, any ideas?

ramesh_umk3 06-13-2014 06:13 PM

build sitemap manually from DBSEO panel and check the files size of all xml's via FTP

tazegame 06-14-2014 10:14 AM

thank you :) I will test now

Are you sure mod_rewrite is enabled on the server?

Was this in response to my question?
I'm checking the file that says 0, it seems to have data.
http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forum..._tags_7.xml.gz

just not sure why tools is saying there are 0 URLs submitted.

ramesh_umk3 06-15-2014 06:12 PM

DBSEO has successfully generated your sitemap it has done its part. If google cant reach particular sitemap you have to fetch that via google bot check your fetching data so that you will know actual error

That would be an issue on their end, as that file does indeed have plenty of URLs.

This is called DBSEO; not vbseo. DBSEO as in Dragonbyte Tech Seo. Anyways, you need to make sure you've updated your htaccess to reflect the dbseo rewrite rules, otherwise you'll keep getting those kinds of errors.

And for Vbulletin 5? I need this mod for VB 5 with VBSEO importer.

ezak 06-21-2014 05:03 AM

Please look inside this link
http://aw-snap.info/file-viewer/?tgt...ua_sel=ff&fs=1

you can see in link 4
Code:

4: < link rel="canonical" href="http://www.gem-flash.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=" />
no specific for forum id, also for any forum
is that normal, I have disable the MOD , and that line is disappear

BTW, mod is enable, but I didn't active rewrite option yet

Skyrider 06-21-2014 11:30 AM

Shame this mod is not compatible with nginx. Regardless of other users configuration files, the system should have nginx included as a lot of people are using it.

There will not be a version of this for vB5 due to the fact that vB5 has SEO'd URLs built-in :)

This mod is compatible with Nginx, I don't know why you say it isn't. We have been given a ruleset from a customer @ our site that we will include with the next version, though due to the way nginx works you will still need to customise it to suit your forum structure exactly like you do just now.

I think would be good in this mod for vBulletin 5 because has many users who have the following problem (including me):

- have vBSEO installed in VB 4.x and already have thousands of indexed topics in Google and want to upgrade to VB 5 and not lose their already indexed URLs (as in VB 5 all URLs are changed).

I would buy this mod (VB 5) for $ 300 or more..

Chadi 06-24-2014 11:46 PM

Would appreciate an explanation on fixing this. If I click any video or category, it redirects to my home page. I also upgraded just now to latest version of this SEO mod.

hunter1985 06-25-2014 05:52 PM

I don't know if this is true or not, but it appears that DB SEO messes up with the vBadvanced CMPS when I try to click on the NavBar for forum.php as it loads the cmps_index.php by default. I compared it when I disabled this product and it seems to works when its off. Could this be a minor fault or does the DB SEO need proper adjustment in tae AdminCP?

Try putting the media rewrite rules before the DBSEO rules.

Try turning off the "Force Directory Index" setting in the DBSEO CP :)

In that case, you may need the Pro version of this mod in order to access the Custom Rewrite Rules, and recreate the mod's htaccess rules.

Thanks, but if you're stating I "may" need the pro version, that doesn't give me confidence to purchase the pro without knowing for sure. I have no problem buying it, as long as you're 100% sure this will correct my issue.

A similar issue, when viewing PM list in my inbox and I choose to delete them (or one at a time) from that view, I get redirected to random pages/threads every time. But, it works fine if I delete the pm from directly within the pm view, individually. Not sure why it's happening, but it's something within this mod since it was never like this prior. Has anyone reported a similar problem Fillip?

I'd like to purchase DBseo and have just 1 question thats concerning me.

When URL's are re-written, what happens to the old urls submitted to google. Are they redirected to the new url or will it send loads of errors to google for non existant pages?

Cla75 06-29-2014 01:23 PM

Hi support,
since I updated to the latest version (1.1.2), some topics do not allow access "can not open the page".
changing the title of the topic, and consequently changes the url and returns available on the topic

thanks

I don't know whether the rewrite rules from that mod can be converted to DBSEO's, so it's impossible for me to guarantee whether it will work :(

the nginx config in the do_not_upload

Code:

location ~* \.(png|jpg|jpeg|gif|ico)$
        {
                expires 30d;
                log_not_found off;
        }
        location /
        {
                try_files $uri $uri/ /dbseo.php;
        }

        location ~ ^((?!dbseo).)*\.php$
        {
                rewrite ^/(.*)$ /dbseo.php last;
        }

        location ~* \.(php)$
        {
                fastcgi_index index.php;
                fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php5-fpm.sock;
                include /etc/nginx/fastcgi_params;
                fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name;
                fastcgi_param  SCRIPT_NAME        $fastcgi_script_name;
                fastcgi_param PATH_TRANSLATED $document_root$fastcgi_script_name;
        }

Gives:

nginx: [emerg] duplicate location "/" in /xx/xxx/xxx.conf:7

The above is a clean config btw. No extra things has been added.
