Yeah it is safe to ignore that message.

vBulletin 4.2.1
Does the MOD interfere in any way with the default Navigation Manager, or does it enhance its functionality? |
No it does not interfere, it enhances the Navigation Manger.
Chris |
Yesterday I upgrade to 4.2.1, but tab with menu, now don't work...
|
That is stock in 4.2 now, so you can re make the tab with a dropdown through the Navigation Manager.
Chris |
My upgrade is from 4.2 (works) to 4.2.1 (not work)
|
Upgrade to the latest version of the mod, you are running a older version.
Chris |
Yeah, i renew my license and update it. Now works perfect

Thanks Chris, I was worried and it created a problem for me, now I can get the job done |
I've downloaded this and installed the 4.2 upload contents to the site. After install I noticed that I have the same problem that others spoke of but didn't see a fix - in the ACP I have an option for general settings but nothing else.
So I did some exploring and found that in the regular (not 4.2) upload folder there's a folder [DBTech] vBNavTabs v1.3.1 [Lite]\UPLOAD\dbtech\vbnavtabs\actions that doesn't exist in the 4.2 folder. So I uploaded that to the appropriate folder, ran the XML again, but it still doesn't show anything in ACP except General Settings. Are there some files missing or something? The XMLl script didn't complain either time I ran it. |

Thanks for the clarification. |
What is it you were looking to do?

I don't see an option like that in the Navigation Manager but maybe I just don't know what to look for or how to do it in there. |
The latest version of vBulletin has the ability to create droptabs built in.
Chris |
dont work for vb 4.2.1
|
Define don't work, that is pretty useless to go on. There is a ton of sites running it on vb$.2.1 no problem

Hello,
My name is Lee and I Administer Team MP. We recently installed your product here and began to use it. However the tabs drop down menu's are not working. We have added the Top MP games with a Menu and 2 links. Only the tab is showing. Also the sub nav bar is now blank below the main tabs. It was full of links and dropdowns before we installed that mod. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Lee Edit: The tabs are working now. But the Sub nav bar is still empty. |
Ensure the following is in the field, Tab Script(s) for the Forum Tab.
Code:
index.private.faq.calendar.group.album.profile.memberlist.subscription.showgroups.online.showthread.showpost.forumdisplay.newthread.newreply.editpost.member.search.activity |

Also, How would I go about changing the Drop down menu's background color? I cannot find the Variable anywhere. Or is that where you have to create the new folder and other stuff? |

Oh. ok thanks.
Still trying to figure out the how to change the dropdowns background color. For some reason it is assuming the sites background color. I have been combing code since last night and still have not found where to change this. So, I am going to try to just add a variable for this very issue unless there is an easy fix. |
A tab that is a popup menu? That is the stylevar popupmenu_link_background in the group, PopupMenus

Hello,
I've installed your LITE @ my vBulletin v4.2.1 and unless that was intended for the demo LITE version, all I can see in my cp is the "General Settings", which allows me pretty much enable and then disable the mod and that's all, I can't add one single NavTab or anything else for that matter. It's been tested on a clean install of vBulletin v4.2.1 Patch 1 (the newest release before the bugged v4.2.2), anyhow, any idea? Thanks, ~t3h'Pâr4d0x |
That is all you should see in 4.2.x, all the other settings are now found in the Navigation Manager.

So, i have to pay $12,5 to have a second navbar, right?
|
Not allowed to discuss prices in here, but yeah, the second navbar is only available in the Pro version.
|
I bought the pro version of this mod just to split my too-long navbar into two separate shorter menus.
I would like to know how to use the other features, like making the tabs into pull-down menus. |
Please post Pro support questions in our Pro support forums. Thank you :)

Thanks for this.

I'm using vb4.2.2
Have a question. I uploaded, added product, edited navbar template and trying to add a drop down. I have the main tab already setup. I tried adding a 'menu' to that main tab and a link below the menu but I don't see a drop down. What have I done wrong? ----Updated---- As I poke around more I am realizing the drop down menu feature already existed in 4.2.2? Either way I can't seem to get a drop down created from my manually added tabs. |
1) Create a tab.
2) Create a menu for the tab. 3) Edit the tab and find the setting, "Target Menu" select the menu you just created, click on save. 4) Add links to the menu you created, these are what will show up as the dropdown items in the tab. |
Thank you Ozzy. I didn't know I needed to go back and edit the Tab after adding the Menu to it.
You da man! |
