and when im logged in it looks like this
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/09/23.png
doubled up?

any ideas

also it's not showing up on WHATS NEW page?
I fixed this by going to maintenance - and rebuilding avatar thumbnails. but i still have the problems above.

Boso

The icon in the lower right of the second pic is because you posted in the thread. If you aren't logged in, it doesn't know who YOU are, so doesn't know if you posted in it.

Boso 09-18-2012 08:55 AM

ok no worries thanks heaps for your help.

Alternately you could enable the addon for certain usergroups or just for specific styles.

Hi Shawn,

I'm a big fan of your work and wanted to first of all say thank you for releasing this mod. It works really well and looks great on my site, so thank you very much for that.

My question was whether you foresee yourself adding the picture for the last poster to a thread some point in the future or not? I know a lot of people would love that added functionality and would be more inclined to use it.

I have seen some other plugins on here that add an avatar for the last post by date but they require a lot of template edits and are by no means as neat of a solution as yours is. Would really love it if you could comment on whether you could add the last poster avatar at some point.

Thank you very much.

digitalpoint 10-11-2012 05:23 PM

No, there are no plans for that, sorry.

That mod forces this one to use last poster avatar. Any idea how to fix, would love to use both.

I was able to fix this conflict by editing the code and queries. Easiest way to do this would be open this mod's XML file in a text editor.

Do a search and replace:

find all:
Code:

hascustomavatar
replace all with:

Code:

hascustomavatardp
Then import the product file- this worked for me anyway.

If your site uses pre-defined avatars, they are not scaled down for use as the icon since vBulletin does not store the dimensions (instead, the upper/left potion is cropped for the icon).
Hi, I do take note of the quoted explanation, but I have all pre-defined avatars in the same square 80x80 dimension.

I just want to insert style="width:34px; height:34px;" for the all pre-defined avatar image icons instead of empty style="". Where should I edit the code to insert the fixed width and height inline-style for pre-defined avatars (probably the code under plugin manager)?

Installed with thanks for testing under 4.1.3pl5 .... :)

Avatars within posts disappeared and the avatars that appeared in the forum listing turned generic white version, even for people who had set personal custom avatars.

Uninstalled ...

Even after uninstalling, normal forum listing avatars re-appeared, but the personal custom avatars for members that used to appear in postbit have not returned ...

Regards,
Doug

hey BOP i tryd this fix but for some reason my last post avatar is still grabbing the OP's avatar

=/

Snowhog 11-22-2012 06:23 PM

I installed this MOD to see how it looked. Worked fine, and looks nice. But, the Icon Legend icons aren't changed to reflect what this MOD shows. Was that an oversight, or did I missing something?

Did you re-import the XML afterwards? If you did then I'm not sure what else it could be- it is working for me.

RyanFabbro 11-23-2012 12:14 PM

yeah lol, im not new to this =P

but its all good having avatars everywhere is a little too much, so im only going to stick to using
this mod for thread avatars.

It's normal... it's impossible to put what you see with this mod since every thread has a different icon.

idesignicreate 12-21-2012 06:04 PM

I recently uploaded the Digital Point Thread Avatars plugin, I was kind of disappointed. Reason why I say that, is because I used the plugin previously for another forum and It displayed the first picture from the threads. Now It's just displaying my avatar, I'm trying to find out if there's a way to display the first photo of my thread [similar to a preview type of thing] instead of my avatar?

digitalpoint 12-21-2012 07:31 PM

You were using a different plug-in. This one has never done anything with images inside threads. (It would be called Thread Images or something then.. heh)

This is awesome.. I am just having one small issue. I am getting a small space beneath the images. I have not attempted to mess with the css yet. I just figured it would be easier to ask you DP. :) Love your work bro!

digitalpoint 01-06-2013 01:16 AM

What is the URL where you have it installed?

m3rl1n 02-13-2013 12:06 PM

possible to work this or have the ability to set icons for threads on a forum/category basis by using forum ID?

digitalpoint 02-13-2013 11:35 PM

No, sorry.

The same exact thing happened in one of my forums. The solution is easy, just remove Thread Avatars and then reinstall it.

I dont know about previous versions but I installed this mod on 4.2.1 I can see it working fine on the forums but on activity and side blocks avatars are invisible, any tips on that?

Yes, completely remove the product: Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Uninstall (Digital Point Thread Avatars)

Then reinstall Digital Point Thread Avatars by transfering the files via FTP and enabling the plugin in the Vbulletin Plugin & Products System.

Both activity and side blocks avatars are ok with 4.2.1 in my forums. Have you tried reinstalling the plugin?

- Make sure you upload the" cssrollup_digitalpoint_threadavatars.xml" file to includes>>xml folder

- Then go to AdminCP -> Maintenance -> Update Counters -> click "Compile Thread Avatar Templates"

BTW, your forum theme is amazing, very clean and comfortable for eyes. :)

Chadi 06-22-2013 04:47 PM

Thanks @sadiq6210 but that didn't solve the issue unfortunately. Same results.

Thanks for the compliment too :)

I disabled "Highlight Threads in Which User Has Posted" but the original status icons show underlayed the avatar icons.

Edit #2: fixed by enlarging avatar size, thanks
