Installed on another forum and it worked right out of the box (4.1.7).

Looks like an interesting mod, might have to check it out later.

As I mentioned above I had this mod installed on a 4.1.7 forum. Had ONE user (me) online for testing purposes and this mod was eating up 15% of my CPU load at the time. Why?

The script was update_ideachat_stream.php or something like that. I had it set to a 3s refresh.

I have this setup on my site but cant see it. Install did not give me errors, I have added the usergroup permissions for admin adn users. I tried the default theme it's not there

I see it in Chrome not in my Opera browser. It feels slow.. But I like the look. I use vb 4.1.8

Anytime I try to set usergroup setting I get a database error. I checked to see that there were no conflicts with other products

Installed and paid for the version that includes support, posted support ticket about chat jumping around; no answer for 12 days about fixing the product; I asked for a refund because the product does not work as advertised; no refunds possible for broken software though terms and service ( Understandable & Fair ) however if you are considering paying for this software I would ask that you think again.

has anyone figured out how to get this to work outside of a vB environment yet? I have my own custom build website and i can't get this to work on the website, just the forum and I need it to run on both :(

Same here, 4.1.8. When I turn on this mod the server crawls within a few minutes. The load shows no different in cpanel, but the site gets very very slow. As soon as I turn the mod off, the site is fast again right away.

I also tested it on 4.1.8 but, it doesn't work for me either.

Want to try this out but it seems to be not be working?

Well I had an earlier version installed, but because of bugs I deinstalled it. Now i installed 1.3 and all the settings are showing up and all usergroups are set right, but the bar isnt showing up. :(

I've tried this. It did not kill the server, but the CPU went way up with only 2 users testing.
I'm staying with cometchat although it's also not perfect.

yeah i checked it out too...didnt show up after installing as instructed and usergroup adjustment...uninstalled and will stick with ArrowChat...been working great for us!

it's interesting because for me it didn'twork with ie, how did you fix it?

@ Ideal Web Tech: i see that even on the demo site your chat is not working with IE (8), exactly like on my vb site.. (basically it shos only the bottom row of everything.. menu tabs.. chatbox...) so there is any hope you will fix it for IE?

We are aware of the bugs and will be resuming normal bug fixing status soon now that we are done moving our offices. We are also looking at some more advanced methods to fix some of the more in depth minor bugs that have been around for a bit.

Also just a note for now please avoid this mod if using iis7 as your webserver as we have identified an issue with iis7 that prevents it from operating normally. We will release more information on iis7 when we have it available.

Also I feel we must stress that this mod was designed for dedicated server as we have been seeing a lot of people on shared hosting trying it and complaining about the performance when that was never really the target audience.

We are looking into building a hosted version of the chat to start offering as well but it may be a while before we have that put together as their is quite a bit of work required to restructure the code to function as needed.

Please be patient as we work on everything as the advanced code in this modification makes most the current bugs somewhat in depth to isolate and fix.

Also anybody who is having issues with the script is encouraged to open a support ticket to get the best possible support, as quite a few of the issues being complained about are issues related to other addons/server issues, and its not feasible to try and offer one on one support in a public thread since typically we will need login information to take a look around and isolate the issue.
