Any answer on this?

It's getting extremely frustrating dealing with all these new users using custom avatars that are only available to supporting members!

how is this on the server ?

it appears to be killing my server

I installed this hack on a 2.2.7-RC system. I defined some categories and added the avatars with ease. I then tested if how would the hack perform from a user's point of view. The first page was just fine but when I clicked the drop-down list box, everything was just screwed up. Here's some screenshots of the initial page and after jumping to another category:

I would also like to know if there's a fix for the "initial-sign-up-choose-any-avatar" thing - thanks for any help :)

Hi...

i installed this hack and im gettin problems when i click the "Change Avatar" button...

it does the redirect them i get this error:

any ideas what could be causing it?

try installing again.... or at least going through step by step, and make sure you didnt miss something

well i removed the file changes to see if it was that... it wasn't becoz it still didn't work... so i then i undid the file changes and ran the uninstall part of the hack wich removes the database changes that were made... and the error is still there :(

@Mist: I make a suggestion to you :bandit: Installs the hack once again and then send me the member.php, if you still get the error (db error) ;) Perhaps there is another fault in the file ...

Hey Bad_Madman! welcome back. Yes. Here are my problems,.

1. Avatars do not show correctly when a new person registers. They don't show all avatars, only newest downloaded and they also show hidden categories.

2. The taken avatar hack doesnt work with the category hack. [this is my other favorite!] It makes it so no one can select an avatar.

I can't wait for the update!!!

How do I apply an avatar to a group? Like avatar 1 to all of the admin group? I can't seem to find that option...

Wow what an incredibly cool hack!

Really looked at the screenshots, and what I saw so far, I really really love it. This is the first time I express my gratitude about a hack.

Really great job, and it's good to see such good support on a hack as well.

Not that I have much groups, but it's always to have a male, female section with avatars and a staff section as well. :)

Damn I wish I could do magic like this (yeah now someone will pop up and say it's easy or not a lot work to do, screw them).

Oh and sorry for so much input, I just think work like this deserves some gratitude.

Only one file must be changed (register.php). Pls upload "sqltodos.php" from zip archiv into your forums admin directory and call the scipt in your broswer. Then select 'Click here for an update installation from v1.30.'

Anyhow, love to use this hack, just want to know how will it impact the database, when I come to move to vb3, any chances its gonna cause problems?

oh, its not working..

well, its is. I created a new avatar category called 'resellers' and made it so only resellers could use this avatar... however, anyone can get the reseller avatar... help

Edit - WHOOPS - Needed to make the permissions system active. Lovely, all working! :)

I am getting a strange error with 2.2.8

When I click on my FAQs I get a:
When I take out the code from the avatar system it works fine! This also affected my SMILIES, when I clicked on GET MORE it showed the same error message, now that I removed this part of the HACK it works fine ( the rest of the board ).

The "cutting" of the code also does not seem do anything to the Avatar Hack because it still works.

What does the code in the misc.php do? Is it "just" for the FAQs? I could live with not having it in the FAQs if the board works fine otherwise and the hack as well.

why can new members get the avatars that are set for spacific catagorys when thier not in there!! the catagory permissions doesnt seem to be working with 2.2.8

I just had a quick question about this hack. Now what I was wondering is how would I go about displaying the category a user is viewing on their page? So for example it would print "You are currtenlty under category: Number 1". If anyone have any ideas please let me know, thanks.

I wanted to know which files this hack modifies? The reason is because I have other hacks installed. It doesnt say in the readme file,
