You really should not have to worry about the update. If you are running version 1.1.1b which is the vB 4.1.1 version posted in the original post.

All the templates should merge properly unless a mod or hack has changed the template. Are any templates showing outdated in the ACP?

Ich habe über meinem namen den orangenen balken. diesen würde ich gerne in einer anderen farbe haben, so daß man den namen darunter lesen kann. ebenfalls ist auf der seite im menü die orangene farbe so daß man die schrift darunter nur sehr schlecht lesen kann. wie ändere ich das auf eine andere farbe?

No templates are showing outdated in the ACP.

STYLEVARS / FORUMS / FORUMHEAD_COLOR <--- change the color to the orange color / color hex code (same as the link color).

STYLEVARS / FORUMS / FORUMBITS_COLOR <--- Change this to a whiter color.

Merge Into Style (Selecting a style here will cause the imported style to be merged into an existing style, overwriting any conflicting entries. Leave blank to create a new style)

Like I said, If no templates are showing any merge problems on the ACP home page then do not worry about the update. You can choose to overwrite a style but take note of any templates edit you may have made.

Is there a way to make the orange or red into green?

Search in stylevars for "color" and change anything orange or red to what you would like.

Exact words please. Meaning do not worry = do not bother updating?

Do not update if nothing is showing outdated, unless I have explicitly said to update because of a bug fix or something which there were none since version 1.1.1b.

This is similar to what you would see on the ACP Homepage if templates need updating.

How i take the login-Line (header) from the right side to the left side and the logo/banner from the left side to the right side?

Installed. It shows the little question marks where the icons are supposed to be. Any input?

Not sure right off I would have to play around with that first to see.

Sounds like the image files are not in the right directory on the server.

Ok, so what steps do I need to take to update?

I have a really old version of this style with a lot of customizations and I dont really want to loose them.

I saw the 1st post said to rename my current style but do I do that in the ACP or the folder on my ftp or can I just use the merge into style option?

If its really old then those templates are outdated and are not making use of new features added or fixed in vB.

You rename just the style name: Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Choose from the drop down "Edit Settings" -> Rename then save.

You can try the merge but I have not tried it with a ton of customizations. The newest version of Blackend is all customized in the additional.css template so further updates should be simple.

I installed the blackend theme on my site norroner.com and at first it seems works great but then i notice...

When i browse my CMS content it uses the previous default theme...? If i go back to the forums or any other part of my vbulletin site, it uses Blackend style.

Ive tried with both IE9 and Chrome

Its a admin setting, login and set style.

Where do i do this?

On your main CMS page, click the pencil icon where it says norroner.com and then where it says Style, set to inherent to make the CMS page use the site default.

In Stylevars for Blackend search for doc_margin. Add "auto" to Left & Right properties, then search for stylevar doc_width. Set your desired width there. I would suggest 980px - 1024px

I am trying to change some of the colors and I have changed some but I cannot find out how to change the really LIGHT gray shade of the thread list. Can you point me to which setting to change.

You need to import the xml file from the admincp, not directly upload it.

That's what I did - I imported it via Styles & Templates -> Download/Upload Styles -> Import Style XML File

Yes, the guy at vBVulletin fixed it for me. I'd really like to install this theme but I need to find out what went wrong the last time.

Well it is most likely a mod your using or something because this is the first time I have seen this with Blackend. I really do not have any advice at this time.

What did the vB tech do to fix it, that may give me an idea

Is there a way I can increase the font size for the guest "notice" ?

On my site the font looks smallish and I would just like to make it 1 or 2 points larger without effecting the rest of the site.
