Are you sure? Do not let those 3-5 tags added fool you...I have been
using 4.1 and it only adds like 3-5 tags, and sometimes not even
related to the content, like seo, content, when seo, content does
not even appear in the post...so if it is not working for me, then
I doubt it is working for you...I suspect you just saw some tags there
so therefore you think it is working...I thought the same thing...

why doesn't this create tags for already existing threads? Seems kinda pointless to only add tags that already exist in the forum and not create new ones from thread titles

It works on my forum (4.1.2). I can see tags being instantly auto-created for new threads and replies and all seems to working as previously. I have 'quick reply' disabled on my forum though so I'm not experiencing the issue described by Wesooby above. That would seem to be the only problem with using this mod in 4.1.2 though.

You do realize that
vb4 does auto-tagging also, right? how do you know that
vb is just not adding its normal tags?

Yeah it seems the only thing it isn't doing is adding it to quick replies but the way I see it this thing can still be extremely valuable in that you can tag all the old threads in the meantime and at least new thread creations are creating the proper tags. Frankly I plan on only setting it to take tags in the opening thread not in replies anyways.

I checked to see if it was tagging old threads properly and it does.

Here are two things that I have noticed that also need fixing:

1) Priority of tags if you exceed the maximum number of tags allowed. How does it decide which ones get used? May need to set a priority lits.
2) THIS ONE IS HUGE: need a select all and also a way to view all tag propositions at once. I accidentally clicked create tag propositions based on old threads and it pulled up 450 pages of propositions and it only allows me to delete or add them one at a time, which is impossible.

Other than that this seems like an extremely powerful mod.

because there are some users asking about the option to only tag after a compare between "tags prepositions" and "thread title" i would like to ask the coder how to manage this.

is there any possibility to edit the code by myself with your help to tag the title only? in the code i found a line with the comment "//get posts to tag". how can i easily delete this function to have only my thread titles tagged?

At this moment I'm very busy and constantly out of time. I will definitively develop more features in tagger (like tagging for blogs and so on), still I cannot promise any time schedule.
I have lot of feature requests for my paid mod vBET and I have obligations to people who paid me for using it. So thread tagger as free mod have lower priority, but it is still alive and will be developed. Hope that anyone who paid at least one time for software understood why I want to take care about our customers.

I was PM that tagger is not working on newest vB version. Can somebody confirm, or disapprove it? Is it really not working or it is again mistake because someone didn't read how it is working... No one have it working on newest vB version?...

I have a big issue with the tags this mod is creating. For example, if i create a thread (please ignore the language, is not english) with this title:

"Test decat functioneaza"

then i will have tags like:

"tes, test, deca, decat, func, functioneaza"

Why is this cutting words and make them tags? How can i DELETE all tags from my forum and try again (this time with uncutted tags)? Thanks in advance!

P.S. Btw, NLP-er: i am on vBulletin 4.1.3 (as you asked if this works on newest vB version). Ah, and we definatelly need an option to only suggest tags from TITLE, not the whole post. THANK YOU!

seems to be working fine on my forum with vB 4.14

Please check option which has separate signs. I assume that you didn't gave real example. I think that in real one you have special letters (some accents) and one of signs writen in separator parameter just cuts it. Iw will be best if you PM me all details:
- access details to Admin CP (I will play with configuration)
- detailed information about what to write in new post title and content to reproduce the issue.

Other possibility is that there is a bug ;)
And other one that something was messed up in configuration
And other possibility is that you already have all those tags so those are applied (still shoudn't if wort is inside of other one).

As other has stated this - otherwise fine mod- creates a lot of tags. My question is if adding stopwords to ACP -> Ignored words for propositions will remove the unwanted words during cron-session or do you have to manually delete it in ACP?

By default this mod do NOT create any tag - only associate existing one to appropriate threads. It is fully configurable - it will create new (not defined yet tags) only if you ask for it.

Also please keep in mind tha tvBulletin has parameter which limits max number of tags per thread and this mod respects it :)

Ignored words for proposition do not remove anything. Just makes the mod ignore those words for new mesages.

i'm using vb4.14 and installed this mod. Ran the rebuilt, however when i check the tag field still display nothing.

You can manually delete all tags with these queries (backup first): from admin Execute SQL Query

Imn tagger userid is taken by:
And this gives number not string. In your case the issue is because as userid you have set 'blinc'. Please make sure that nothing is changing your vBulletin userinfo. I just checked all places of tagger code where such query is executed - userid is taken same way. So this is probably some other mod issue. According to vBulletin architecture $vbulletin->userinfo['userid'] should give you user id - number not string (username). Please check for conflicts with other mods.

This mod has been working great until about a few days ago, recently it has stopped creating the tags on new topics as we have that set to newtopics only.

I have run the script also for adding tags to see if it would catch the posts that have not been getting tags, but we are getting nothing...

No errors either, I just don't know where to start for troubleshooting.

FYI it is adding Forum assigned tags, just not from the content and title

I have exactly the same problem. I have also run the scrit for adding tags, etc.

I have run into an issue which is potentially related to the settings we are using (although nothing pops out to me as being the cause) in short when a user posts a topic which contains the following words for example: swans, sydney - it will attempt to create tags for them and rightly so however both tags are synonyms to the word 'sydney swans' and vB obviously informs the user it's moved the tags to the synonym - however this creates a loop as on resubmission it attempts to re-add the word sydney, swans - any ideas ?
