https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/03/17.jpg without that there i cant get the comments box to appear ... any ideas? |
It should be a default option for Vb.
Really useful mod! marked as installed and nominated as Modification of the Month. |
Carnage- I'm about to upgrade (finally) to 4.1.3. Was this mod ever integrated or do we still have to install this? Thanks.
|
Uhm, I reached 20+ messages per news, but how do I change settings about the pagination of messages?
Example: Now I've some posts with 20+ reply, and I can see only 20 messages per page, then I have to click on the next page to continue reading messages. Can I see every messages in one page or change the pagination from 20 to 30-40 messages? |
They say it won't be integrated until 4.2.x and who knows where in that branch it will be.

FYI: This now wreaks havoc on the RSS Feed system for some reason. I was using Twitterfeed to automatically post to Facebook and Twitter but it will not work anymore while this mod is installed.

Anyone using this with 4.1.4? Want to make sure it works before I upgrade.
|
What are you currently running sticky? I noticed the problems with the RSS feed after upgrading to 4.1.3.

Planning on upgrading to 4.1.4 so hoping the issue is only with 4.1.3. |
Sorry sticky but it carried over to 4.1.4, which is why I had to uninstall this for the first time since it was released. My RSS feed is more important.
|
What do you mean by wrecks havok on the RSS feed?

If I had to guess, I'd say replies wouldn't go to the feed because they aren't actually being manually posted. But we already knew that. |

I use RSS mainly to tweet out new articles automatically. If that works fine, I can upgrade. |
is it working fine on 4.1.4?
|
Installed this on my 4.1.5 board, working great.
|
i'm sorry this might sound stupid, but how do I use it?
I installed it, but no option/setting page shown on my ACP |
There aren't any settings to configure.
when a thread is promoted to the front page; this mod prevents vBulletin from creating a new comments thread for it. Instead the original thread is used for comments. |
Thanks

This is the best product ever.
Any greater functionality planned? Though this pretty much accomplishes everything it needs to. |
For your information:
There's a bug using this addon combined with the dp-sphinx search. Basecially all new posts show up as article comments, bypassing the vb4-rights management, in the sphinx-delta. And therefore internal posts are visible for all users via the search function. That does not happen in the sphinx-fullindex, so if the posts get older the problem does fix itself. Cause of this bug: The newpost plugin of this mod changes the parentforumid and therefore breaks an if condition in the dp-sphinx makeing it true every time. This FYI is meant for admins who are running both addons and most likely will never see it happen without someone telling them. |
First of all, thank you :)
I would to display my article as first post in thread: I think it's not so hard. I know PHP very well but I never wrote plugin for vb. My problem, for a better optimization, it's how can I save a boolean in thread record to know if there is an article connect? It's simple enough? Anyone can help me? Thank you again :D |
Thank you, I don't understand why this isn't in the CMS normally.
|
Thank you for this mod, however maybe you can help me..
Is there anyway i can disable the show replies below the article that have been promoted.. and rather link the comments link to the original forum thread? My users are confused they don't know where to reply, either forum or to the promoted article.. so one place would be ideal.. any help much appreciated. |
This mod seems don't work on vbulletin 4.1.8.
When I post on a forum thread of the promoted one the article comments don't show the new comment. Any Idea?. I don't want to uninstall this mod for only this issue :( |
For anyone interested (i managed to resolved by myself), the mod still works on 4.1.8 the only "fix" tha resolved the issue is setting the permisions on all sections and subsections of the CMS (CP Admin menu -> Vbulletin CMS -> Permisions) and clear the system cache.
|
works in 4.1.8..great plugin btw!
|
I've not yet upgraded to 4.1.8 myself, once I do I'll fix any issues there may be with this mod on 4.1.8
