We've had trouble duplicating this one. Can you check to make sure that your HTMLPurifier directory is properly chmodded (recursively) to 777?

I'm testing locally on Windows XP (SP2) so I believe there is no such setting. It's correctly uploaded to the /forum/z/includes/ directory.

pein87 10-20-2008 04:09 PM

Yeah chmod 777 sorry i was in a hurry, i had to leave for school. Yes i`ve tested this on my test wamp server at home but its not working on my hosts server I`m using host excellence. I`m a avide php programmer but I`m not sure of your style of programming is there a way to get around this? i`m using fireftp right now should I swithc to another ftp client?

Rather than CHMOD, then, right-click on the folder/files in order to change their file permissions from read-only to read/write.

vbboarder 10-20-2008 05:02 PM

Thanks for the info, but as everything with Windows, it's not that easy. For more info about Windows attributes/ permissions, read: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326549

To remove the read-only attribute, click on the Start button > Run... button > type in "cmd" > type in: attrib -R /S /D full-path-to-directory (substitute in the full path to the HTMLPurifier directory). Don't you just luv Windows.... Hope that helps ;)

Note: Even after you perform the attrib command, when you right click any HTMLPurifier folder, it will still show "read-only." However, all of its files have been correctly modified and TinyMCE will now correctly work in IE7.... YEAH!!!

Zoints 10-20-2008 10:19 PM

Does that mean you got it working?

What's your site url? I'm not sure I understand exactly what's happening from your description and I'd like to take a look and see if I can duplicate the problem.

Run the Zoints uninstaller, uninstall the vBulletin Product, and delete the uploaded files.

kairev 11-06-2008 01:29 PM

This has been discussed previously, but the short answer is "no, there isn't."

can I use BOTH?

ie: have vbulletin profiles and zoints local installed and let my users decide which on they want to use?

Yes, you can.

However, what we've found is that forums who choose this path tend not to have as much success with it, as the user base gets split between the two profile systems, and it reduces user interaction.

Sorry for the delayed response. We should probably have you start a support ticket so we can duplicate and troubleshoot this issue.

Interesting. I don't recognize that error at all. I assume it goes away if you disable Zoints? What's your forum URL?

As far as your first question, you are required to maintain the /z/ directory structure.

In regards to the second question, it sounds like you are running into the problem described here:

Well, the directory structure for those links doesn't appear to match the url on your site - I see your forum is listed at http://layupdrill.com/forums/ rather than /boards/.

figu120 12-28-2008 06:36 PM

ok.
good then you can not change the "Z "....

and thanks for the support of the album ....

This probably will just need a template edit. If you want, I can take a look at it. Go ahead and submit a support ticket with a temporary AdminCP and I'll do some digging around for you :)

BTW, that profile looks great!

MindTrix 01-30-2009 06:53 AM

My forum used to be on a windows server, and i installed this and it didnt work right. So i uninstalled the product and left it.

Now yesterday i have moved over to a Linux server and am trying to install this again but keep getting this error

Warning: chdir() [function.chdir]: No such file or directory (errno 2) in /home/chast5/public_html/forum/z/includes/external_auth/vbulletin36.php on line 42

Warning: main(D:/inetpub/vhosts/mysitesurlhere.com/httpdocs/forum/global.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/chast5/public_html/forum/z/includes/external_auth/vbulletin36.php on line 43

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'D:/inetpub/vhosts/mysitesurlhere.com/httpdocs/forum/global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/chast5/public_html/forum/z/includes/external_auth/vbulletin36.php on line 43

I can see in some where its talking about the D:/inetpub/vhosts etc etc is the default path of my old site.

I've tried deleting all database tables with ZP at the front, and even replaced all files with new ones. and still the same errors

Any ideas?

Armyqt 01-30-2009 10:47 PM

Installed!! Thanks.

Armyqt 01-30-2009 11:19 PM

Okay so how do I get this to look like my forum. It looks like a separate website in my website.

TC Topps 02-01-2009 12:16 AM

I disabled installed products.

I can install product for profiles but no pages show up other than option pages.

I tried chmod for includes dir and the htmlpurifier dir. I was able to run index file for install at the /forums/z/install/index.php browser location.

I can go several steps. It asks for forum version. 3.5, 3.6 AND 3.7. I Selected 3.7 as 3.8 is not noted. Is there a file that I need to edit to make it accept my 3.8.

It lets me get to next page were it is asking for vbulletin data base name, user name, port and password. All have been double checked inclusive of reviewing the vb config.php file.

I get an error message stating that it can not find database. I have turned off vbulletin forum and am logged out at time of install.

What is happening?

Thanks for your prompt reply!

TC Topps

rickrichards82 02-18-2009 12:08 AM

i can't unzip the fine. it looks like there are a bunch of dummy files or something zipped in there that can't be unzipped or something. very frustrating. i've been able to unzip other times today so it leads me to believe that there is something wrong with the file that is on this serve.

anyone help me out?.... please.... :(
