Any word on adding something similar to this? I don't imagine it would be too difficult to do since you already have the phone information. A template specific to the SMS message that is sent to a phone when someone replies to a thread should probably be used however.

This hack just tells me that it will send SMS messages but nothing else...

Does it send text messages to forum users only registered with their sms email or to anybody they wish from the forum?

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to just send a message via email to: 1234567890@teleflip.com (replace 1234567890 with any mobile telephone number)

so let me guess this straight you install this and you can start sending sms to mobiles from your forum with out paying.

Would this mod allow me to send 1 text message to a group of people?

Apart from the above mentioned, here are a few suggestions for future release:

• Adding a link under Thread Tools "SMS Subscription" where the user will be sent a text message when a response is left in the thread.
• Ability for the admin to charge vBcredits per text, or per subscription. The more options the better.
• Ability to subscribe to the Calendar, where an alert will be sent if there happens to be something on the forum's calendar for that day.

You wont be charged for sending the message, but the person receiving it may.

Some countries I like to see on the list that aren't there.. but hey.... at least they all can get a hold of me via SMS :) thats cool

I had changed the actual number, but does that mean they're using a number instade of email?

OK I have followed the instructions and I can not see any settings for SMS in the usergroup permissions? I do get the option in the usercp and the SMS Setup in the admincp but no setting in the usergroup permissions? Yes I have uploaded the bitfield_sms.xml several times?

OK, I figured everything out all on my own, LOL! There was one template that didn't get updated, so I did that and it works like a charm now!

Great MOD...Installed, test txt sent.....worsk great.,.....for AT& T in the States at least.

Although I cant see any user that I can send a txt too..I guess they have to set that up in there control panel for it to "show up" for me to txt them?

The Orange network in India has been taken over by Vodafone, i have installed the mod and tried to still register my orange number which has been taken over by vodafone. sodoes it mean the email would have changed too. :( Can you please add Vodafone India to the Service Providers list.
