Also, if I go to "Manage Settings" and enter a "Title" the words I added disappear after I "Save". If I go to the nmps homepage the title does not appear.

Also, if you do not have any takers I have Chinese and German students in my English class who own me a favor or two?

Mythotical 06-29-2008 04:15 PM

The title setting is fixed in my version, forgot to release a fix version.

Check your PM box regarding the language stuff.

Mythotical 06-29-2008 04:19 PM

Joey: Forgot, when you disable a module, it goes to the top of your module display page under Inactive Modules, you just need to edit it and re-enable it. Screenshot provided for you, the screenshot is sappy due to me using my laptop and not a desktop. I will also release the fix version regarding the titles.

EDIT: Red square is where the inactive modules box should show up for you.

Mythotical 06-29-2008 04:40 PM

2.0.6 released, please update to fix the minor 'Title' setting bug.

iPodHacking.com 06-29-2008 07:20 PM

Ok. Is it possible to have this file nested outside of the /forums directory? So instead of it being in /fourms it would be in / with the name of index.php?

joeycano 06-30-2008 01:57 AM

I see the issue. I do not have an Inactive Module box on my screen.

Mythotical 06-30-2008 04:39 AM

Joey: Could you provide a screenshot of that page for me please?

iPodHacking.com: 2.0.7 will house that feature and I should be releasing that version tomorrow.

Steve

joeycano 06-30-2008 10:59 AM

Here is the screen shot you requested

iPodHacking.com 06-30-2008 01:05 PM

Thanks STeve M. I have been looking for a portal that would allow me to do that.

Mythotical 06-30-2008 04:19 PM

Joey: How odd, I can't even seem to get my version to do what yours did. I'm not too sure why it keeps vanishing from your admincp. Do me a favor, go to your nmaps_modules table via phpMyAdmin, browse the entries and see if Chief Reporter is listed, if not then some how it got deleted from the database altogether.

joeycano 06-30-2008 05:44 PM

I want to phpMyAdmin and clicked on "vb_nmaps_mod" and go the following "Field"

- mod_id
- mod_title
- mod_position
- mod_display
- mod_status
- mod_tpl
- mod_set

I hope this is what you were looking for

Mythotical 06-30-2008 06:08 PM

Joey: Nope, at the top is shows a bunch of tabs, click Browse once you click on vb_nmaps_mod then just look for the entry of Chief Reporter.

joeycano 06-30-2008 06:37 PM

This is a screen shot of what I see:

Mythotical 06-30-2008 11:10 PM

Joey: Thats very odd. Do me a favor, download your nmaps.php file from your admincp directory and attach it here or email it to me dev [at] thevbcoders.com so I can take a look at it. Something is up with the code, I want to make sure its all good. Also, list what mods you have installed or you can PM me that list.

bollie 07-01-2008 04:00 PM

when i try to do http://www.yourdomain.com/admincp/nmaps_install.php all i get is a white screen ???

Mythotical 07-01-2008 05:16 PM

bollie: Did you import your product xml file first? Did you upload all files inside /includes/ to your /includes/ folder? Also, I really hope your not trying to access yourdomain.com not saying your stupid but sometimes people miss small things like that.

bollie 07-01-2008 05:35 PM

I import product xml file first.
All files upload.
http://www.xxxxx.be/admincp/nmaps_install.php white screen.

Mythotical 07-01-2008 07:31 PM

bollie: right click and view source, paste any errors or what not, if you want just paste the entire view source and post under [code] bbcode.

QATARAT 07-01-2008 11:17 PM

thankx Steve :)

A few questions. I just upgraded from 2.0.5 to 2.0.7 using the upgrade instructions and have the following issues:

- The version number in the Manage Products screen still shows up as 2.0.5 not 2.0.7

- The nmaps front page still works but the Admin control panel page is now showing a white pages on (1) Manage Settings; (2) Manage Categories; (3) Manage Modules

- Also, I think the instruction for "Ungrading 2.0.6 to 2.0.7" should state to delete the upgrade and install files???

Any suggestions???

verino 07-03-2008 09:42 AM

error on upgrade to 2.0.7

Warning: require_once(./nmaps_config.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ugland/public_html/admincp/nmaps.php on line 21

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required './nmaps_config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /home/ugland/public_html/admincp/nmaps.php on line 21

downgrade to 2.0.6

Mythotical 07-03-2008 07:08 PM

Unfortunately I have to go out of town for a week. I will not be back until July 11th so all work as ceased till then. Thanks for your patience.

I will take my laptop and redo the install of nmaps until I can hammer out a better install script.

vuiveclub 07-03-2008 08:40 PM

Hi, I installed on localhost and there is an error:

Warning: require_once(/includes/adminfunctions_template.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\AppServ\www\upload\admincp\nmaps.php on line 23

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/includes/adminfunctions_template.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in C:\AppServ\www\upload\admincp\nmaps.php on line 23

I edited the file nmaps_config.php the path to C:/AppServ/www/upload/ but it doesnt work!

saltedm8 07-05-2008 12:04 PM

I have this error, so for now i have uninstalled it

but i do want to install it, cheers

Mythotical 07-06-2008 12:29 AM

Again, I am out of town right now, I managed to get to a library and check things out so please be patient until I return home on the 11th. That weekend I will release a new version which I have found issues with the install file as it replaces templates when the product xml already does the templates. Hence I think the reason for a few errors. now the path issue, I will try to get a new nmaps_install.php file uploaded that will fix your error. I know whats causing it and I apologize as I added the absolute path setting to that file when it wasn't needed.

saltedm8 07-06-2008 12:51 PM

I only posted for information purposes, sorry lol

Mythotical 07-06-2008 05:07 PM

saltedm8: No worries, didn't mean anything by what I said, just stating is all. Cheers

010081 07-06-2008 09:04 PM

have a nice Vac will install after you release next version then,

Mythotical 07-13-2008 07:50 PM

Ok v2.7.0-1 which is considered a HOTFIX will fix error where nmaps_config.php cannot be located. Please download and ONLY upload the files overwriting existing files.

I will release 2.7.1 which will remove the need to run an install script.

EDIT: Also I have extended my vacation till the night of the 18th therefore a new release should be done by tomorrow evening then no more for another week.

AidoStyles 07-15-2008 09:33 AM

I get this error when I visit nmaps_install.php:

Warning: require_once(./nmaps_config.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/191092/public_html/ausdefence/admincp/nmaps_install.php on line 20

Mythotical 07-15-2008 03:07 PM

Aido: I have fixed the issue. Please re-download and upload the files only.

To All: I am having issues converting from an install file to a product xml file. I won't have it ready till this weekend.

This version did not fix my issues mentioned in post #341 quoted above. Also, you will hear from me soon regarding your two translation currently in the works.

Mythotical 07-15-2008 06:35 PM

joey: I answered those awhile back. I fixed the version number but since I am getting rid of the install file and using product xml file only, that shouldn't happen again. The admincp pages for modules, settings, cats, make sure you imported the product file and make sure you have nmaps.php uploaded, the correct one from the /admincp/ directory. I will not be changing the instructions for the upgrading due to the files will be removed. And great on the translations.

Extreme24 07-15-2008 08:57 PM

The newest update fixes my problem like what AidoStyles was having but now I'm getting this error in the AdminCP when viewing the settings, categories, etc. sections:

Warning: require_once(/includes/adminfunctions_template.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in [path]/admincp/nmaps.php on line 22

Hi Steve,

i'm sure this has been mentioned by others, to make the bbcode enabled instead of html code to write the news portal :D if it's possible, of course.

Thank's

joeycano 07-16-2008 01:34 AM

I am still having the same issue as indicated above even after following your above instructions. Also, after doing uploading the new files the nmaps front page is white as well.
