Please note: This hack is no longer supported for additional features. vB announced that this hack will be included as part of vb3.8.
Although more features have been added to albums, there is no feature in vb 3.8 to display all albums. It is possible to display the latest albums in vb 3.8.

This hack is still very valuable for vb 3.8 users.

I just noticed that every album links to albumid=0 Any idea what is wrong?

Rideharder 09-29-2008 04:04 AM

Need help

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagecreatefromfile() in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/album.php(811) : eval()'d code on line 6

Rideharder 09-29-2008 04:16 AM

Okay I fixed the problem when I upgraded 3.7.3
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...=182884&page=4

It was a different mod

Hamednet 09-29-2008 09:41 AM

scoyote 10-05-2008 02:54 PM

I have upgraded to version 3.7.3 Patch Level 1 and I am having issues.

Is this compatible with the new version?

Change your attachment storage type to File.

Then change these settings via your php.ini

upload_max_filesize = 50M
post_max_size = 50M

I usually raise these setting up a little as well
max_execution_time = 120
max_input_time = 120

If your upload times out raise those a bit more.

Where can i find these "time out" settings??

ymy 10-09-2008 08:49 AM

Perfect! Installed!

Included feature in VB3.8 doesn't compare to this product. I still prefer this product and don't plan on removing it anytime soon.... Thanks for this hack:up:

Lars T 10-13-2008 08:34 AM

Is there anyway to put this above the navbar?

TheLab 10-13-2008 09:30 AM

First of all thanks for the mod, its really good. Although i know you are not supporting it or adding any more features i will give it a shot. Is there any way that i can display only the albums that have a specific title? For example a query like: get albums where title is test.

Thanks!

You are right :( I saw that vb page, it's horrible! Can't they get their act straight and see that over 1200 users have installed this mod that they should have included directly in vb?

I'm going to keep it on my forum also. I may start supporting it again.

Add a search? Maybe I'll try.

Yeah, I'm SO not impressed with what they did with the new version. I'll be sticking with yours man! I'd really like to know if you'd be interested to integrate something with latest comments, or showing comments, or something to do with comments in the albums. I installed someones "Latest Comments" mod, but disabled it because it just seems awkward to have the two separate.

Thanks anyway... your mod > vB default.

at the moment "below navbar" is an option..

bulldog71169 10-14-2008 07:01 PM

I see this isnt suppoirted anymore but hoping someone can help.

the navbit option works, and quick links works, but I dont see it in the navbar with the option set to yes.

texterted 10-14-2008 10:22 PM

Please carry on supporting this excellent mod! The 3.8 version of vBulletin only has "newly updated" albums visible from the "Community" link on the navbar... no support for viewing all of the users albums!

Keep up the good work please!

theOZer 10-17-2008 02:46 PM

Hello testered,
This mod has been incorporated into vB3.8x (see Abe1's Please Note above).
To show all of your user's albums you need to make 2 changes:
In AdminCP
1) vBulletin Options -> User Profile: Album Options
under Recent Album Update Days, change that to how many days (the default is 7) you want to be included (I set mine to 999).
2) Maintenance -> Update Counters
run Rebuild Recently Updated Albums.
VoilĂ !
P.S. Curious, though, if you uninstall All Albums the navbar All Albums is no longer available/ no longer there on the navbar. So, vB3.8x didn't totally incorporate this mod's attributes, functionality.

Not sure what you mean by this. All Albums wasn't incorporated into vB, it's something now built in, but in a different manner. So you have to go through Community - Pictures & Albums to get to it.

If you're looking to have an "All Albums" link that will point to the new albums page, you'll have to add the link in the navbar yourself.

theOZer 10-20-2008 01:46 PM

Yes, I agree with you, Savage702. The easy access All Albums navbar entry and even the addition of All Albums in the Quick Links is part of this mod; it is not part of vB38x. vB's version is now tucked in/hidden until you finally realize it's there under the Community button with Social Groups, Contacts & Friends, & Members (which were moved/removed from the Quick Links). This mod still works in vB38x, shows a separate All Albums, and of course has the navbar links we're speaking of. So, in vB38x I still think I will keep this mod active for it's added benefits; this All Albums mod is different from vB's 38x's version and it's a shame it won't be supported anymore.

Hi :) Sorry to bother but did you find any time on getting on this?

Thanks.

Abe1 10-24-2008 06:28 PM

Version 2.4 (10/24/08):
  • Added Search

Also, I had decided to give support and update this hack again since it's a shame so far of how vb's version of "all albums" look and it's features.

Nice one Abe1, thanks for the update and the continued support of this mod!

Cheers to theOZer for his helpful reply earlier too :D

Maybe it is only a small snippet? ;)

Thanx a lot for update and support, Abe1.
Thats a good moment to ask again, maybe there is a chance for our requests.

Nominated MOTM

ArnyVee 10-24-2008 06:56 PM

Thanks! Looks good! :D

Is there anyway to put a little something like "Search the Albums" next to the field?

LanciaStratos 10-24-2008 06:57 PM

Thanks very much for continuing to support this add-on. vBulletin wouldn't be anywhere it is today without obvious features like this being implemented by the community. Great work.

Just tried the new search and got a SQL error.

Hey Abe1, I was hoping to combine this hack with yours, but unfortunately the other hack doesn't work properly when placed on the all_albums.php page (the tables show up, but the cells are all empty) and the author isn't answering support questions. You ever thought of adding something like that to the top of albums page? It would really bring the discussion within the albums into a more visible area and would be good for growth and activity.

ElForro 10-24-2008 07:18 PM

I'm having the same problem as TsirhCitna
