How or where do I go to add my own image as I saw another user did. I'd like to add my sites banner to the pop up window. And once I find where it is where do i put the image link at in the code?

Why? I dont will see the Quick Time Player. You dont understand me? :D

You told me, that the Script runs perfect on your side. An than you mean, that the Quick Time Player will be open, thats wrong ;)

yahoooh 08-16-2007 07:36 AM

how to make it open in the same page with navbar and footer like any other module , because now it just open as popup which get error with some popup blockers

SuperTaz 08-16-2007 08:23 AM

Works great now. Thanks. I had to fix a path and now it works fine.

I think you may be correct that I don't understand you or you, me. :D

What I'm saying is everything works for the Mac and FF and this script. In making a small adjustment inside of flip4mac, it will open the external quicktime player on the Mac instead of using the player in the script. Which is what I thought I understood you were wanting to do.

Baza 08-16-2007 09:55 AM

hey, dude

is there any possible way to make a station default and to add .pls radio files

thanks

El Burro 08-16-2007 10:12 PM

Hi,

I didn't want to add this in my navbar. (too many buttons to move around)
I set up a link forum - which opened radiosations.php

The problem was that I couldn't get it to open in a new window.

So I hacked together this radiostations.html

HTML Code:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Dreams Radio Stations</title>

<meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="1;url=http://www.yoursite.com/forums/">
</head>

<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
window.open("http://www.yoursite.com/forums/radiostations.php", "blank");
</script>
</body>
</html>

Now point the linked forum to radiostations.html and it opens a new window for the radio station and the old window redirect to forumhome.

:)

There is an option to make a default station in the options. Dunno about .pls files.

Dream 08-17-2007 02:40 AM

Just to say, this mod kicks ass :D I listen to radio on my forum all the time.

I'm very proud of myself.

aztecboi2003 08-17-2007 03:27 AM

Can't we globalize a variable to make this work on vBadvanced CMPS? I really dunno what that means but, I did it like they said for another hack and it worked.

Dream 08-17-2007 04:15 AM

Sorry aztecboi, I don't use vBa so I wouldn't know. Maybe someone else can help you.

If you make the changes in post #97, then go to your vbadvanced in the admincp under default settings and add "radiostations.php" to either the header or navbar replacements section, wherever you put your menu it will call the new page. It won't call the javascript popup page however.

Then you should be able to control this using flip4mac's system preferences.

So is this mod supported? It seems so since you are replying to almost every question; however, at the top, you have it marked as unsupported. Just want a little clarification. Ty. :)

Dream 08-17-2007 12:17 PM

This mod is not supported. I may help in my free time though.

Will there ever be an update for future vBulletin versions?

Dream 08-17-2007 01:07 PM

Yes, as I myself use this on my forums I plan to keep it updated. And my forum has been around for about 6 years (check my join date here).

Sounds good. I'll install it then. Just didn't want to install it if it wasn't going to be updated with future versions. Thanks for the help, Dream, and for the awesome mod. :D

I cant add any station with the CC tuner listed.. I assume this is on purpose by each hosting station? Is there a way to get these to work?

Great hack btw.. Users love it since vbradio dwindled.. Thx

Did you upload the cpnav xml file to the includes/xml/ folder? That's the file that makes the menu in the admincp.

great product, but, is there any way to force it to use windows media player 10? reason being, MS really blows and 50% of users out there still use an OS other than XP or Vista.

i see his class object is 6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6 which is for WP7+ so it should be. Is the player that shows dependent upon the stream?

Btw. knows anybody a good site listing radio stations from all countries?

in radiostations.php find:

PHP Code:

eval('$html_javascript = "' fetch_template('RADIOSTATIONS_JAVASCRIPT') . '";');
eval(
'print_output("' fetch_template('RADIOSTATIONS') . '");');

Replace with:
PHP Code:

$navbits = array();
$navbits[$parent] = 'Radio';

$navbits construct_navbits($navbits);
eval(
'$navbar = "' fetch_template('navbar') . '";');
eval(
'$html_javascript = "' fetch_template('RADIOSTATIONS_JAVASCRIPT') . '";');
eval(
'print_output("' fetch_template('RADIOSTATIONS') . '");');

I think it will use whatever WMP the user has on the machine, not sure if you can force a version. You could try using a different class object ID, then tell me how it goes.

supermak 08-20-2007 05:36 PM

Wolud be nice if add a RAM support for Real Player Stations :)

actually, i just figured it out. it is b/c MS sucks with FF integration. My stats are:
FF 2.0
Win2k3
WMP 10

FF tries to tell me I need a WMP 11 download. Well, can't do that b/c MS made WMP11 XP and Vista only.

So the remedy:

Download the following....

http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-...dll/3.0.2.629/
http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-.../9.00.00.3250/
http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-...9.00.00.32508/

And place them in your <FF Install Path>\Plugins folder

restart FF, and boom, it works.

yahoooh 08-21-2007 02:25 PM

is there ability to use flash player instead of media player , there is some flash player on the net

Dream 08-21-2007 03:27 PM

You could edit the RADIOSTATIONS_PLAYER template for that.

HotRodGyrl 08-21-2007 06:55 PM

out of curiousity,

Will this slow down the upload of the forum or make it slower for slower uploaders?

I want to make sure it will not effect my users before I upload

Dream 08-21-2007 07:48 PM

Tricky question...

This won't make your forum slower. The bandwidth used is the radio streaming's server bandwidth.

If your users have a slower connection, say they are on a dial-up, and they are listening to radio and browsing your forum, it may slow down their navigation, yes.
