Does anybody that has installed this have a chance to look at it? I can't figure out why it's so jumbled on my site.
|
Ok....does anyone know if there is a way to sort what stories get shown first? I tried installing this mod:
Adv. Editing Options for Mods and Admins and this mod: vB_Cement and even when I try to use them to "bump" a thread up they are shown in the same order as they were originally posted in the news slideshow. Can anyone help or give insight on this? |
I am having problems installing this newly bought awesome script. Can anyone help me out installing?
Is doing this part the critical part to get this working, editing: HTML Code:
fopen("/var/www/forums/clientscript/mod_fpslideshow/mod_fpslideshow.js",'w'); |

Looks a great but but am having a nightmare trying to install it.
I purchased the extension today, do I have the correct files? I read earlier in this thread about a vB version? Is 'mod_fpslideshow_1.6' correct or do I need to contact Joomla for a vB version? If i have the correct files could somebody please give me a simple guide? - i have obviously tried but there was images and text everywere. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Thanks for that Wolf. Just sent them an e-mail asking for it.
I take it once I receive them I do not follow the initial instructions? |
That's correct, you want to follow the instructions by Concepts given Here. (Scroll down about half way)

Hopefully some kind soul will come and help... :erm: |
I think I found a solution.....
Make sure that the .css stylesheet is formatted correctly and in the right directory. I used the Firefox Web Developer Toolbar to figure out the issues. It seemed the stylesheet was not in the right directory so I moved it and it now works perfectly. |

How do I know if the stylesheet is formatted correctly and in the right directory? |
Honestly? This is what I did.....and I don't know if this is considered ethical or not but I was desperate....
I borrowed the stylesheet from http://www.unrealaddicts.com/ and then edited the options via the Firefox Web Developer Toolbar to my liking. |
does this work from standard vb page (forumhome), w/o having to use vbadvanced?
thanks in advance! |
any help?
|
I've given up. I keep getting the error as I have said numerous times above.
If anyone finds a solution, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please PM me it. |
Finally got it working thanks to some members on here. Well, nearly.
It works perfect in Firefox, see here; http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/5286/firefoxeg1.jpg But not in Internet explorer; http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/681/ieyk7.jpg Anyone any idea? would be gutted if couldnt use that style slideshow because of such a problem. |

I just got the program yesterday, I love it. I am having a little problem thou. The skin I use is fixed, in 1024x768 the slideshow looks perfect. However in any other resolution there is a very noticable gap. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to maybe put the slideshow into a module of some sort.
Take a look |
You'll need to edit the 'mod_fpslideshow' file accordingly. Where it says Height and Width, just edit the number to the right of it to your liking.
|
The slideshow file isnt the problem. The image i attached is how it looks in most browsers. In 1024x768 it looks fine. The problem is I cant seem to put the Slide show into a module so it has a black background like everything else.
|
i followed the instructions you gave, but they didnt work right... so i loaded the file to my root instead of clientscript... and loaded the mod (mod_fpslideshow.php) to my modules folder... it works good.. i just need to get my attachments to to size for the screen size...

Hello,
I'm having alot of trouble changing the news article title from black to white. I noticed "BlueSteel" also had the same problem. (His conversation starts on page 16 of this thread) I've modified the bottom of mod_fpslideshow.css file and I still cannot change the news article color from black to white. If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

Mates where can i make the background of the text like this attachment: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...chmentid=60620 |
UNINSTALLED - the slideshow really messed up some of the other controls on my site and I never could get this into it's own module. For a paid mod, not this one but the slideshow, it's not as intuitive as it should be. I just don't feel you should pay for something with so many little issues.
