Hello,

I need help! After an update on 3.6.8 the Stock Trader cronjob fills the database table with 0 an no depot appears in the "top depot" listing.
But everyone can furthermore manage his own depot, it's just that the toplist isn't showing.
Has anybody else this problem?

when ever i click stock trader then one pag opens and this msg comes " Error 404 - Not found

Your browser can't find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in....

I m not using Icash.......

My 'Cash on Hand' at the moment displays as 42.7000000000007.

I use vBCredits as my money system and have the number of decimal places set to zero. Prior to the above display of cash on hand, it displayed an amount with one digit to the right of the decimal. Is there a way to display the cash on hand with no digits to the right of the decimal?

sorry if this was answered already, but how can we make the TOP PORTFOLIOS page update more often? As is, its once a day right? I searched through all of the PHP files for vbtrade but its not there, that I know of.

Hi there ...

I didn't find a similar problem, so .. here I am:

Pressing the Stock-Trader button (or, as it is named on my board the 'FeeEssen Aktienmarkt') I get this amazing message:


In English it means something like: An illegal opperation should be executed! :eek:

In my navbar I performed the changes as listed in the install.txt; in my ACP I granted access to the stock trader to every usergroup, and the error occures either if I give a yes or a no to the 'Turn the vBulletin Stock Trader system on or off'-option.

So, what could be the mistake?

There is an issue with selling with 3.6.8 and vbcredits 1.4rc1. It won't give the user the money from selling. It is random it doesn't happen to me the admin but has happened to at least 3 people with over 100 people using it daily. Also any plans on integrating a search for stock ID? Instead of the user going to msn or yahoo to get the letters that make up the stock there will be a search to get it?

im getting this error when you try to view one of my members stocks page.

Its weird because I can vew other members profile pages with no errors except for this one. I am running vB3.7.0 Beta3 but everything else works from the mod so I cant think its becuase of that.

I wouldn't expect any support from the author...it's a promising hack, and it's unfortunate he's dropped support from it.

Still...it works well on my board. I'd like that comments system Lionel figured out though...that looks like good stuff.

one more thing can the portfolio get the ability to put a link , so when you click the stock youll get the chart? if possible a link choosen by the admin, so youll use your own charting script or a yahoo link

A Major issue here...is if you say you have 100$ ..and you buy US stock scripts...woth 30$, and then you buy Indian or other stocks (it actually lets you outside the US market) ... you actually pay 10$ for a 10 Rupee (25 cents)...is there a way to stop certain stocks or work out a conversion rate for intl stocks or something...

What that means is even though your supposed to be paying 25 cents (10 rupees) per indian share...it takes it as 10$... I wouldnt mind paying someone to help me update and modify the script to serve purpose. Anyone interested let me know :)

I have looked through here trying to see if anyone else has found this bug but i don't see it. if i have missed it please accept my apology for posting it again.. Anyway, one of my members found a bug for selling stocks.

if you sell 1 more stock then you have and put a + sign at the beginning and the end, it will give you the money but not sell your stock.

example, i have 1000 stocks of GE valued at 1.00 each. If i go in and put +1001+ and sell them, it will give me $1000.00 but my stocks do not sell.. So someone could cash out all day long on this and it would be very hard to figure out.

Wasn't sure if there was a fix for this, and if not i just wanted to let you know about it.

Anyone know what the cron settings for this should be? I just went and check my settings and to me they seem blank, when run manually some of the info came back like stock price, etc.

I dont want to use yahoo. I just want to add imaginary stock codes.

Then with that stock codes, users can buy those.
And everyday the admin (that's me) will update changes manually and randomly.

And we can create a list of stock codes for those stock codes?

So zethon, is there anyway to create my own stock rather than use Yahoo feed??
