Well, I also put that code in the postbit_quickedit also to get the Media Icon to show there too!

I think it has something to do with
Code:

<if condition="$show['anymedia_bbcode']">
. Cause when I removed that the button attempted to show [but the gif was wrong]. Once I changed the media.gif from the install/edit to the real icon's name [vbmediaplayer.gif] it showed. However, "MEDIA" was not placed into the brackets.

So, the whole thing with the Media Icon is bugged, heck the gif is not even the proper name. ;)

david05 04-03-2007 03:14 AM

I got a blank page when I inserted this such link in the media code (.wma also as .mp3)

Code:

http://danceclubvn.com/tinhonline.wma
Does someone know what the reason is?

Mecho 04-09-2007 02:56 PM

when users c the default Screen of the video hosts ! y they should see videos in our site ?? they simply click on the screen and they will redirect to main site !!! am i right ??

dragonlove 04-16-2007 08:34 AM

Nothing happened!!!!!
Neither the button, nor the content, just the vB Media Player border, then nothin' inside!

I mainly install this to play outside flv file.

My computer can view the flv flash video normally on other site , but I can't play this with vB Media Player installed !

What is the problem? vbb 3.6.x

RedGTiVR6 04-16-2007 06:41 PM

Without reading through the 22 pages to see if this has been discussed..

I'm having a problem saving some of my settings.

I click on "select All" to allow linking to all video sites in the list, I hit save, then I go back to it, and only some of them are checked....I can do this over and over and the same thing happens.

If I "switch state" and save, all is good...but then it shows that the You Tube videos won't be allowed?

da420 04-16-2007 07:23 PM

You don't have to read the last 22 pages of this thread to know that all of the functions of this hack does not work... all you have to do is read the last two or so pages...

deezelpope 04-16-2007 07:48 PM

I'm using the 3.5.x version on my 3.6.4 and it works great...just something to consider...

RedGTiVR6 04-16-2007 07:56 PM

Are you able to see all of the video types or just certain ones?

deezelpope 04-16-2007 08:03 PM

I haven't tried other types, but I can tell you I've been using just YouTube...Google never worked, but I dunno if that is a Google-side issue or what...I think it may be so. It's supposed to work with Meta-cafe or whatever, but it doesn't. Haven't tried any other types of videos, but I tried mp3's and that works, too.

EDIT: Just discovered it works with swf's.

Rebuild your bitfieds

MissKalunji 04-19-2007 08:29 PM

Im not sure if anyone else figured it out...but why the FLV video don't play in ANymedia or this one (in IE is a bug there is IN the swf file...not the script itself....I've tried using OTHER swf file giving in other scripts like http://www.jeroenwijering.com and it works fine. You can test here : http://www.dancehallareaz.com/forum/...off-stage.html

but you would have to register cause my flv are in attachement

Thanks!

That took care of the issue with the check boxes not all staying checked.

So I gather that all media file types still aren't supported.

Any ideas when they might be? Anyone?

This mod so far is one of the best I've come across.

No - Google and the most others have changed their Codes. This is the Reason why "Adult SEO" started this Crap. I still dreaming of a come Back of "Crist Chsu"..... :(

fasteddie 04-25-2007 07:10 AM

Something in this mod is screwing up my vBAdvanced homepage, where some links, like http://forumurl.com/member.php?u=992 are wrong, as it should be http://forumurl.com/forums/member.php?u=992

Disabling the mod immediately fixes this problem. Any ideas? I really want to use this mod!

opaa 04-25-2007 05:10 PM

Thank you very much. Nice , very nice =) !

best regards, opaa

This mod is not working at all for me. I get a blank collapsed player when using the media tags and when uploading attachments it is not automatically adding the media tags...

Yes, the mod is installed as per instructions.

Also despite the template edits, the editor toolbars remain unchanged....

Yeah I may need to uninstall this any try that one. Especially since this one is using that one's installation instructions anyhow and they aren't working for me.

digital3 04-29-2007 05:19 PM

I'd be happy to just get more than a collapsed, un-openable, player in my posts.

Ryloth 05-02-2007 12:39 AM

ok so why is it if i touch any options in the admincp that half the check boxes for items are unchecked and there is no way to re-check them. it is totally random.

wait.... i read up..... how do u "rebuild your bitfields" ?

Ryloth 05-02-2007 12:59 AM

ah figured it out. google is sitll busted though.

for anyone else who asks the bitfield question....

http://www.yourforum.com/forums/admi...buildbitfields

Ryloth 05-02-2007 01:16 AM

if u want to get google video to work...... open includes/class_vbmediaplayer.php

find '/docid=([0-9\-]+)[^\d]/Ui'

and replace with '/docid=(.*)$/'

then google vids will work

Ryloth 05-02-2007 09:20 PM

to save me from reading through 25 pages, has anyone coded streetfire.net into the media player ?

Ryloth 05-04-2007 02:39 AM

well, i coded 99.8% of the streetfire plugin including the new installer. the bitfields are present and work. the class file is re-coded. the only problem is when i put the streetfire link it, it says error: unsupported media type. which is rediculous b/c i have it clearly defined. anyone want to help i will pass over my source.

akulion 05-04-2007 10:46 AM

is this mod gona go out of beta soon and come to final?
been a while now its been in beta

Ryloth 05-04-2007 10:40 PM

the original programmer disappeared so.... no.

nymyth 05-21-2007 08:10 PM

so it seems to work on 3.6.7, however when i try to edit a post and put in the media tag im getting an error:

I installed this hack on VB 3.6.7 PL1. It functions very well, but I do not see the icon of the beacon bbcode. How to make to be able to see it?

that is b/c the title has a " ' " in it. that is a sql restricted character and more than likely same w/ PHP. it signals end of statement. in c# a " / " would have to be put in front of the " ' " to prvent that from happening. not sure how to do it in PHP but the title is ur problem.

wherever it reads and spits it back out on the page, the php would have to be modified to replace anything with " ' " in it with another safe character or w/ a break in front of it.

Same problem here.....anyone know how this can be fixed? Or if there is any video mod that works?

Bumb

da420 06-06-2007 06:32 PM

No, the coder for this mod stopped working on it and giving support here a long time ago. So, the bugs mentioned throughout the thread still exist.

Carlos2 06-09-2007 02:39 PM

Hi, i cant do this to work propertly, is any plugin like this one to hear mp3 and the other that works in 3.6??

RedGTiVR6 06-19-2007 01:24 PM

lol - this is rather sad.

the coder comes in and posts that they will have a full time person working on this code...but then there's nothing.

shouldn't this mod be moved to the graveyard?

seems like there's a severe lack of media players from within VB 3.6.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

da420 06-19-2007 06:08 PM

I just use BBCodes for the sites people post the most videos from..... YouTube, Google, Liveleak, Daily Motion, etc... also use BBCodes for Win/Flash/Quick Time/Real Media...
