Not sure why you hving the problem. I have tried it on 3.7 with both mods and have no issues with the 2 together.

I've had that too. For now it's either put up with it or turn off VBanonymizer.

I'm having a bit of a problem on 2.7 with vB 3.6.8 as outlined in my test below:-

Any ideas on this one Dismounted? No huge rush as it isn't a live forum at the moment, I'll start to panic in December :D

I have considered uninstalling and reverting to a previous version, but this will take me until weekend to get around to. It's a very weird one this.

TIA

Okay so after this exchange 6th to 9th Oct, I asked for an update 18th Oct [#295] and again 3rd Nov [#296], and I still have not received any indication of a fix. I go live on January 1st and this mod forms a major component of my forum makeup, officially I am now in panic mode. Could I please have some indication as to whether a fix is planned and an ETA?

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Dismounted 12-28-2007 01:04 PM

Could you possibly try version 2.5?

KURTZ 12-28-2007 03:27 PM

is this compatible w/3.7.x?

For sure. That was going to be my next step as I know that a board I'm co-admin on doesn't have the same problem. I'll step back to the suggested version and report back Dismounted, many thanks.

TigerWare 12-28-2007 08:58 PM

Reverting to v2.5 has removed the problem encountered Dismounted. Cheers for that.

No problem, I'll try get to the problem ASAP. In the meanwhile, if you want to take the plunge, try the newest version and disable the rel="nofollow" function.

Done. Upgraded to 2.7 and checked for the problem (which returned as expected). Disabling the nofollow option cures the problem once more.

Thanks for helping me debug :). I've found the issue. Now I've just got to find a fix.

redlabour 01-01-2008 09:08 AM

Will it work with 3.7 ?

NavS 01-01-2008 06:34 PM

Can I make it so that only certain forums will have the links anonymized? This is messing with my auto embed video plugin.

I have no idea as I haven't played around with 3.7 yet.

Yes, but it will require manual editing of the code. Can you give me a link to the plugin?

Passivid: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=150761
Where in the code should I start looking?

Dismounted 01-04-2008 02:51 PM

Find the plugin that is at postbit_display_complete and add conditionals around it to check for the forum. In addition to that, make the execution order "10", I believe it should fix the issues with PassiveVid.

my_aly 01-11-2008 03:32 PM

good work

juan71287 01-11-2008 10:53 PM

Hey man, is there any way to exclude maybe forums from having this? Like if I want Anime forum to have the hack ON but the news forum to have the hack OFF.

Thanks.

Dismounted 01-12-2008 09:24 AM

Yes, it can be done by editing the plugin directly, but it is not a standard feature (yet).

juan71287 01-12-2008 01:22 PM

Thats cool but, I am not coder, any way you can hook it up on what I should do?

Dismounted 01-13-2008 02:44 AM

Sorry, but I currently don't have any spare time to guide you through the process.

Ok, I understand. But what's wrong with sending the referrer information?

Thanks.

It has more to do with privacy than there being anything wrong with sending the data. Many sites actively track referring URL's, but depending on what kind of site you are operating you may not wish the target site to know where the link is located.

Example: Someone posts a joke on your forum with a link to a porn site. Ok so no biggie, but people click it and that site logs the referring URL. What happens if that site publishes a list of referring URL's. Your site now gets linked to a porn site.

juan71287 01-13-2008 12:04 PM

OK thanks man. :)

Open up the product XML file and edit it. Make sure you open it in notepad.

Valter 02-09-2008 07:47 AM

One of my users created post with this line inside the text, surrounded by URL tags:

Password is: 123456

If vbAnonymizer is enabled then this PHP error appears when thread is opened:
Code:

Warning: parse_url(http://password is: 123456) [function.parse-url]: Unable to parse URL in /includes/init.php(329) : eval()'d code on line 50

Dismounted 02-11-2008 03:23 AM

I am aware of such errors. For now, could you just edit out the url tags?

ahlycairo 03-11-2008 11:02 AM

hello Dismounted

ihave installed it since about 2 or 3 monthes
and all of my links have been redirected like that:
/vb/redirector.php?url=

and it was working very good
but ihave uninstalled it yesterday
by removing the product and the redirector.php file from vb root

but i,m in big trouble now
thats all links in the studio forum still have the redirect link as the hack is still working so when you click any link it lead u to page cannot be displayed

plz help me if u can and tell me how to make the links just normal like it was before installing the hack.

thanx in regards

Valter 03-12-2008 12:15 AM

You can solve this problem by emptying "postparsed" table.

Query:
Code:

TRUNCATE table postparsed;

ahlycairo 03-13-2008 12:02 PM

any one can help ?

Dismounted 03-15-2008 10:09 AM

It may be caused by the browser still reading the site from your browser cache.
