Because people have donated and because he has a "premium modification" forum setup, which is supposed to provide support to it's users.
If he shouldn't/can't do it, then it should be removed.

As far as support if he did make a complete fix and him himself released the thread on vB.org he wouldn't have time to support the thread. It will have over 1k posts within a week.

again? The fixed one had an exploit? Damn this is ridiculous. Can't somebody else make this mod? I'd gladly pay somebody to make it since the original coder is clearly out of pocket (permanently)

im suprised no one has claimed to fix this yet. but then again its hard to fix something when there is so much hush hush about what the exploits are. No one says if you disable this or that you can still use it. all i see here is 20 or so pages of unhappy people so may i ask is someone going to help these people out. i know its time consuming. But you cant leave people hanging. Id say just close the thread and be done with it otherwize.

Its a exploit part from the donations part that could gain accesses to parts of the site you don't want to know

I think most people have gotten that much, but nobody knows exactly what the exploit is, what it does, and apparently how to fix it since the "fix" was removed as well.

There was once a post on Milworm listing the Plaza as having an exploit it is all of a sudden not posted? Well that either means it was not an exploit or was reported as FIXED. But for more information on exploits you will find google a good place to start heres a bit of a refined and interesting search result......

I for one am not completely convinced there is anything seriously wrong other than the staff taking the link down. And one report of a hack IIRC?

If you do not have this already installed I would just wait for the new release to come out.
And if you already have this installed I would do the repairs listed or the one that was posted as a fixed version. Good luck all.
