For the not showing:
You could simply edit the template used for the settingspage to not show the according fields/entries.

For the deleting problem:
Yes, this is a known is a known issue, but may be fixed soon due to lots of help from "Parker Clack".

Is there any way for this hack to allow users to register an email account on my mailserver?

If not, how can I let them do this and then use this hack to access their accounts. Do I have to create the accounts for them?

Just some questions,

Does this hack fetch mail from existing mailboxes or does it allow the user to create a new malbox which is run by vB or your site?

Ive been reading on a previous post about the lack encryption where the user enters their password. Is it possible to use the encryption provided by the host to cover this?

Is it possible to provide a default setting for the users email settings? So they will all have the same settings unless they change it themselves?

I installed it for testing, but I can't see any place where I can configure the main account. It seems individual users need an individual account in order to get this to work ?

Nevermind, I read this thread.

I'm using a Norwegian ISP called domeneshop, and the SMTP authentication is working as expected.
Everything seems to be in shape. I will do a couple of more tests and when I'm done, approve it and increment your Installed counter.

Hows things going with this hack? Are you getting close to finishing any of the to "Planned features"?

I still have this installed but am not using it because I need support for more than one email account.

I just realised, it does work perfect. BUT: When the mail has an attachment, it is simply not delivered. I tried attaching a simple text file with the word "test" in it and it was never delivered. When I removed the attachment and resend, all was fine .. is this just me ?!?

Give/Provide your members an own eMail adress and inbox on your forums!

* Members can recieve and send mails as "username@forumdomain.tld" without the need for an own POP3 account anywhere
* Admin only needs ONE "real" POP3 box as "catch all".

installed on vB 3.6 but when using the admin settings I get

admin mash mismatch

but a quick search on vb.com sorted it

I use vB 3.6 and have installed on my test vB... Got two problems

There's a vbphrase in settings that forgot the $, when I view attachments i'm not able to view content. And in acp->wmail global settings when I go to save it says mismatched admin hash.

Also, how does the username@domain.tld work? I'd like to allow my staff members e-mails, but my awesomely free host (friend owns it!) I only get 8 and that'll fill up fast. Me plus e-mail already is 2!

If you need to change the settings again you will have to edit the file again

that works if you set it in the global settings of wmail

eg you want all the members to use @domain.tld email addresses

you would set mail.domain.tld as your pop3 server with no override

with 8 email addys not a good idea :) although if you want only staff to use it then you will have to give them an email addy

im running it on gold & works fine

although im the only one who has access to wmail atm as our site isnt live yet

but yeh it does work just watch out for the admin mismatch error

What should my Server Settings be?

I can send mail,no problem...but when I tested it,sending it to myself,it go's to my outlook mail.Not to my site?Any help would be appretiated.

they should be the same as in outlook

My settings are the same as my outlook express, but I'm still not receiving mail.Im also getting "You have a total of -4 mails in your inbox,
that's 0 new mails since your last check." Even after refresh.Do I need to remove the account from outlook?....This isnt working for me or any of my members.....Need Help please.

try to use username and Sender E-Mail (your outgoing address): your mail address like mail@mail.com not just mail

im getting this when I do that:

So this hack is pretty much dead now since the developer is no longer supporting it?

Would it been nice to see WMail implemented along with Google Hosted.
