I commend you on a fantastic mod, Crist. :)

I've noticed one glitch in the behavior of with width and height. Sometimes the video displays a 5x5px and the rest of the screen is white. Sometimes pressing refresh or going out of the thread and coming back in resolves the issue. This behavior occurs when the files are untouched.

I've adjusted some of the scripts in the .js and .xml files as well as the Anymedia template to force a 4:3 ratio for video. I did that to see if it resolved the display issue but to no avail. I'll keep testing the scripts to see why this is occuring. Any ideas are appreciated. I'll post back on my progress. :)

I installed the new version 2.2.0. But it still has the same problem as 2.1.0: wmv files display using firefox, but the play buttons are greyed out (can't be used and can't play) in I.E. 6.0

Anyone else got the problem or is it just my I.E. being wrong?

hmm to me works fine all with firefox.
I got some problems with IE6. Try to Load a IE page containing youtube movie, When the movie is loaded and player display "Click here to start" then, reload (F5) the IE page. I guess some cookies troubles, but wont be anymore visible, u need to close the IE page, to see it again.

hello there
very good job with the extension so far.. i hav few queries..
1. does it load the video file along with page, as it takes for ever for me load a page with an avi file on (does it stream or downlaod to local system?).
2. is it possilbe to make an option for popup window for playing video, instead of on the actual page (saves the load time?)

Did you upload the product and all the files?

P.S. I would really like to see an option to have the default resolution of the video itself display, as opposed to having it set by the admin. It causes quality problems and sometimes aspect ration problems.

On firefox, google doenst work - Tested with:

On IE (IE 6 and 7 at least), youtube AND vsocial dont work - Tested with:

I tested both on 4 different computers ;)

Yh, I uploaded all the file and the product and then went to styel managar and edited as per the instruction in editor_toolbar_on

where could be the the defect?

Yes, I noticed this issue.
Maybe sth wrong with the flvplayer.
I'll check the src of the flvplayer,
or may anybody make a special version for the hack?

1.Never download it to your server
2.Maybe in later version. :)

For me all issues are solved but only for firefox.
I love firefox, but most of my users are using IE and they can’t see the videos that are played with flvplayer.swf (youtube, vsocial, flv) I try to use another flvplayer like before, but the issue persists. Then I looked at the code of the generated page and this is what I see:

Both are including and calling the function anymedia.js and both creates a div to put the object, but this div is empty in the case of IE, it looks like this

No,they're not my works,
two of them from http://jeroenwijering.com/ (You could down the fla files from the site)
and another from google.

If you get a blank window when playing a flv file in IE.
Just download the pack and re-import the xml file,
I fix the problem without changing the version.

You should edit the old post to re-parse it.

Hello Chris,

have a small Problem with the referrer i think.

If i try to add a media from a Directory from my Forum itself, where i have running mod_rewrite, for blocking downloads from referrers not equal ownForum, its not working.

If i put same media File into nonprotected Folder its working.

any ideas ?


additionally i am getting following error, if i want add a torrent link
